Five Republicans, all women except maybe Lupe Garcia, got a summons from the head of the Republican Party of New Mexico on December 13, 2020.

Not a single one had a twinkle of a thought in their minds, that they were the authorized electors for the next day.  Trump had lost New Mexico by 100,000 votes, and 11 points.  Over half the Republicans in New Mexico voted early.  There was never a whiff of fraud about Trump losing New Mexico.

Those women, every one Republican Party social queens, likely all over fifty, maybe over sixty, had waited their turn to be the 2020 electors maybe for fifty years.

Above is a photo I took at a 2016 Democratic pow wow of 2020 Biden elector from Missouri, my friend JC.  JC is 80 years old.  JC stayed home on December 14, 2020.  Probably because he likes his wife and his cows and his guns and his grandchildren more than going to prison.

New Mexico has laws against the electors whose party loses even attempting to cast their votes.  They can’t label them alternate or do anything at all but stay home and let the winning party send their electors to the state Capitol at Santa Fe.

And of those poor old biddies didn’t know that then, they are about to find out now.

There is no universe where New Mexico actually voted for Trump, no theory, no justification, no excuse for it.

They conspired to obstruct an official proceeding by sending in an unauthorized slate of electors. That is Count II of Smith’s indictment

Please, explain the logic behind New Mexico.

Trump lost New Mexico by any measurement possible, by 100,000 votes and 11 points.

Even if there could have been a revote the Republican will always lose those five electoral votes,

Explain why it was included in the plan?
