What conservative media won’t tell you until trial is just how **** horrible Trump was, trying to stage a legal “soft coup” to cling to power and subvert the constitution.ConsRule » 03 Aug 2023, 9:39 am » wrote: ↑ A little Op-Ed? Why bother...the basis of the all is "Orange Man...Bad"
Allegedly...nothing has been proved beyond a reasonable doubt.Bruce » 03 Aug 2023, 9:58 am » wrote: ↑ What conservative media won’t tell you until trial is just how **** horrible Trump was, trying to stage a legal “soft coup” to cling to power and subvert the constitution.
I had no idea, myself, before yesterday.
Trump and all his close associates and cabinet at first, were disappointed and suspected election fraud. There were six states with razor thin margins and it’s easy to see their suspicions.
There were investigations and recounts and lawsuits. All those were legal.
Fox News kept up 24/7 talk of election fraud. Millions on millions of good people believed there was.
And then by early December the truth came crashing down. The recounts didn’t change anything. All the lawsuits failed, The machines were not rigged. It was over for Trump, he’d lost a close election.
Fox News kept right on with false news about election fraud so as to not lose viewers to News Max. But all the Fox staff knew it was a lie. Trump had lost.
What you’ll learn at trial is Trump assembled six nut jobs, outright bat **** crazy loonies, to steal the election.
They devised a scheme for Mike Pence to count bogus elector slates in SEVEN states.
Why the plotters included solid blue New Mexico is proof they knew, it was all a lie. Nobody is crazy enough to believe Trump won New Mexico, where he lost by 11 points.
All of Trump’s family and every adult around Trump jumped ship and went on record they were no part of the attempted coup.
If Mike Pence had joined, there would have been troops in the streets to keep Trump in power, just like a banana republic.
Trump needs to die in ADX SuperMax

That takes place in a court of law.........do you not know this?ConsRule » 03 Aug 2023, 10:01 am » wrote: ↑ Allegedly...nothing has been proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

Thus your point is null and void ............ we'll see.
Yes...I know that. And my point is not "null and void". An intelligent person, who is familiar with the US Constitution and the US criminal justice system, would understand the comments I quoted should either include the word "allegedly" or a disclosure of "in my opinion". That is assuming you subscribe to innocent till proven guilty for everyone...not just demonrats. It appears, based on his comments on multiple threads, that Bruce may not subscribe to that concept for everyone...thus my reminder.razoo » 03 Aug 2023, 10:17 am » wrote: ↑ That takes place in a court of law.........do you not know this?

Yada Yada Yada and some blah blah blah you don't have a case....... nor do you produce what could be called hard evidence.ConsRule » 03 Aug 2023, 10:32 am » wrote: ↑ Yes...I know that. A defense attorney doesn't need to explain it until the prosecution can show that Trump directly orchestrated it's creation. Just suggesting the legislature do so isn't enough...especially if the legislature wasn't involved with picking that slate.Bruce » 03 Aug 2023, 10:41 am » wrote: ↑ There is a presumption of innocence
There is also a faked up bogus slate of five Republican electoral votes from solid blue New Mexico that no defense lawyer in America will be able to innocently explain when it comes into evidence at trial.
Trump should be remanded.
The judge won’t, but she should not give him the chance to run.
At the least they’ll revoke his passport.
