To a progressive leftist, asking questions they don't like is criminal... just like mis-gendering someone is hate speech.JustinSane » 05 Aug 2023, 10:04 am » wrote: ↑ Neither of those happened. Trump was president - for him to raise concerns about the authenticity of an election while he's president, cannot be insurrection. I'd go further and say it's part of his job. He also has not incited crime, to my knowledge.
Good point if the indictment charged him with insurrection, which it does not. As for the actual point, Trump's "asking for a delay" was asking Pence to break the law, as has been explained many times in many places including in this thread. And he tried to compel Pence to break the law.RedheadedStranger » 05 Aug 2023, 9:34 am » wrote: ↑ I was just about to say... I guess that asking for a delay to make sure everything was on the up and up is now considered an "insurrection".
Requesting a delay for investigation is not a crime. No delay occurred so the point is moot. Asking Zelensky to investigate the Bidens isn't a crime. Poor **** would still have an intact country if he had just investigated Bidens criminal activities in his nation.jack » 05 Aug 2023, 10:31 am » wrote: ↑ Good point if the indictment charged him insurrection, which it does not. This has been explained repeatedly, including in this thread. Trump attempted through intimidation to stop the official counting of electoral votes, the trigger to Biden taking office. If the jury finds as a fact that Trump did this, he will be convicted.Neo » 05 Aug 2023, 10:54 am » wrote: ↑ Requesting a delay for investigation is not a crime. No delay, no potential of a crime related to a hypothetical delay.jack » 05 Aug 2023, 11:41 am » wrote: ↑ This has been explained repeatedly, including in this thread. and/or going to jail.
There are a few of you bogus republicans that should move to Russia or Italy so you live with Fascism and perhaps be employed by the MAFIA ......MAFIA would deny all of you employment because you talk too much, say nothing and would draw unwanted attention.
Democrats are prosecuting thought crime and speech. Using a corrupt doj to persecute political rivals may not be fascist by definition but it's far closer to a dictatorship than anything seen on the other side of the isle. Totalitarianism.razoo » 05 Aug 2023, 11:48 am » wrote: ↑ even criminals have rights including stonewalling ........ that won't necessarily prevent him from being prosecuted
