Not all Republicans were so dim witted and selfish as to support making legal abortions into crimes.

Some women complain about that very thing:
Not your business. You aren't a woman capable of being pregnant. Shut up about it.
But isn't it also about basically ceding control to a third party?
That's why every citizen can be a part of the discussion. Our government is out of control.
Giving bureaucrats an inch, letting the camel's nose under the tent, better him than me...
Boom! New laws, regs, taxes pop up because we have a "There oughta be a law" attitude.
Provide for the common welfare. <-- I just made that up.
Allowing people to do whatever they want is scary sometimes because the line gets blurred as to when it is intruding on others. We must guard against "Exploitation of the Innocents".
So, an abortion is just about the most personal thing a woman can go through. I get that.
But governmental creep is also a very real phenomenon. I hope everyone gets that, too.
That's what conservatives don't understand.
Wow...you know what conservatives think....that is so cool! You should find on and tell them what they are thinkingSquatchman » 10 Aug 2023, 10:29 am » wrote: ↑ That's what conservatives don't understand.
Women can think for themselves just fine.
I never said conservatives think.nefarious101 » 10 Aug 2023, 10:37 am » wrote: ↑ Wow...you know what conservatives think....that is so cool! You should find on and tell them what they are thinking
What do you know about women...just because you either are a "man in a dress, date a "mani n a dress" or support a "man in a Dress" doesn't make you an authority on women. I on the other hand understand perfectly what women want...oh gawd do I

Still have teaching gender confusion ideology to kids, illegal immigration, and racial preoccupation to drive conservatives to the polls. Plenty to build enthusiasm with, just have to have the balls to go against the cancel culture and their media allies.maineman » 10 Aug 2023, 9:57 am » wrote: ↑ But when referenda are voted on at the same time that the citizenry votes for their elected officials, the high-drama wedge issues represented on the referendum ballot bring out voters who will vote for politicians who share their positions.
When Roe was the law of the land, and was the proverbial car that the GOP dog was chasing, Referenda that sought to restrict abortion brought out the GOP anti-abortion base and was a great fundraising tool. Now that the car has been caught, and Hobbs is now the standard, the tables have been turned.
Methinks, if the GOP power players had their druthers, Roe would still be the law of the land and they would still be railing against it and whipping up the enthusiasm of THEIR base because of it.

You'd better make hay while the sun shines... the days of angry white conservatives are coming to a close. This next generation is gonna put you out to pasture - or kick you to the curb - in a decade or so.
High school kids are polling conservative. Young conservatives have always been a rare phenomenon but they are more common today than any time in the nations history. Your fixation on race is entertaining and pointless. Racism on the right is rare. Racism on the left will never be widely adopted.maineman » 10 Aug 2023, 12:15 pm » wrote: ↑ Keep Hate Alive!

Maybe high school kids do hate blacks, browns, women, bisexuals, gays, lesbians, transgenders, science, public education, higher education, student loans, democracy and think women should shut up and **** and have kids.Neo » 10 Aug 2023, 12:43 pm » wrote: ↑ High school kids are polling conservative. I didn't see your making your point any better. Kind of repeating the same line of reasoning.Bruce » 10 Aug 2023, 10:19 am » wrote: ↑ Not all Republicans were so dim witted and selfish as to support making legal abortions into crimes.
Really the scam was, to be able to ask Democrats a lot of stupid questions about abortion.
Like so much of the radical right wing extremism the Republicans all in a circle jerk come up with, the anti abortion **** was never about saving the unborn brats.
The Republicans thought any woman who had an abortion or wanted one was two bit whore.
They didn’t give a **** what whores wanted.
Some could see that wasn’t taking smooth to the ladies at all..)
Not about race. Race is inconsequential. Not about consenting adults.Bruce » 10 Aug 2023, 12:55 pm » wrote: ↑ Maybe high school kids do hate blacks, browns, women, bisexuals, gays, lesbians, transgenders, science, public education, higher education, student loans, democracy and think women should shut up and **** and have kids.
Some of them grow up watching Fox News.
The REPUBLICAN BALLOT MEASURE has been destroyed. If you don't think this is, and always has been, about abortion, you are one dumb MFer.Beekeeper » 10 Aug 2023, 8:48 am » wrote: ↑ SPIN IT ****!!
The BALLOT MEASURE was to determine if it took a 60% THRESHOLD to amend the CONSTITUTION OF OHIO.
It has NOTHING to do with "abortion rights" since that hasn't come up for ANY VOTE OF ANY KIND!!
Funny how you **** MORONS love to turn a sows ear into a silk purse and ALWAYS FAIL!!
GET SOME FACTS AGAIN, **** and then get back to us. Your SPIN is hilarious.
