"Lincoln's Evolving Racial Views" - Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums (rbhayes.org)“I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races,” he assured them.…I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors ******, nor of qualifying them to hold office…there is a physicaldifference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social andpolitical equality…

Lincoln died on Good Friday April 14, 1865 that four million black slaves might live free.
As for his popularity winning the god damned Civil War and freeing four million black slaves had a hell of a lot to do with it.
You cannot judge past cultures by today's moral standards.Vegas » 11 Aug 2023, 12:21 pm » wrote: ↑ The quote below was from Lincoln. He abolished slavery, he never allowed for their rights like white people. It was only a necessity.
Why is he always considered a hero when he only wanted slavery abolished for political reasons, not for moral ones?

Martin Luther King was a registered Republican.
Your teachers failed you, beyond doubt they did.
You seem a good reader. Put “Southern Strategy” in the search engine of your choice.Vegas » 11 Aug 2023, 1:51 pm » wrote: ↑ Yes. I know. That proves my point. MLK was a Republican, you dims are the racist.

By coming South, Barry Goldwater had made it possible for great numbers of unapologetic white supremacists to hold great carnivals of white supremacy. They were not troubled in the least over whether this would hurt the Republican Party in the rest of the country. They wanted to make—for their own satisfaction, if for no one else’s—a display of the fact that they had found and were enjoying membership in one organization that was secure against integration.

Best cavalry officer ever to get his *** whipped at the Battle of Nashville, mainly because of elite, tough, hard riding Missouri Christian boys to the saddle born, like my own great grandfather, of Company M (hind guard) of the 12th Missouri US Volunteer Cavalry (black horse).

My ancestors were Republicans for three generations.
They rode through the valley of the shadow, the toughest mother **** in the valley.
And by far the most devoted Christians on the field.
The 12th MoUSV has not one blot of war crimes on it’s record.
There was a day Republicans hated slavery.
Not to say they loved blacks.
Sometimes the best you can say about a person's "legacy" is that they died before their time.
Competing with Abe, FDR and Washington are usually Jefferson and Truman.
they're extremely valuable.....for about 30 minutes.RebelGator » 11 Aug 2023, 12:31 pm » wrote: ↑ White girls seem to think they are way more equal than a white man.....I know this 'cuz I watch television commercials.
Being signed over to various an anti all creation eugenics corporation communes that the taxpayer citizen must subsidize after six hundred thousand American citizens die is not freedom. Lincoln and others should have argued in the courts that the slaves could learn to read contracts and could not be considered as animals or partial animals in the law instead of attacking the civilian population. As it is 2023 humans (carbon units) of all skin colors can enjoy less legal protection than an animal.Vegas » 11 Aug 2023, 12:21 pm » wrote: ↑ The quote below was from Lincoln.
