AG Garland appoints Hunter Biden investigator David Weiss special counsel

Weiss  is the federal prosecutor who brought charges against President Biden's son Hunter Biden in Delaware

I’m here today to announce the appointment of David Weiss as a special counsel consistent with the Department of Justice regulations governing such matters. In keeping with those regulations, I have today notified the designated members of each House of Congress of the appointment," Garland said at a press conference in Washington, D.C.

Weiss is the federal prosecutor who has investigated the business dealings of Hunter Biden and brought charges against him in Delaware. His appointment as special counsel indicates that, contrary to Biden's defense lawyers' claims, the Justice Department investigation into President Biden's son is not over.

Garland said on Tuesday that Weiss told him that "in his judgment, his investigation has reached a stage at which he should continue his work as a special counsel, and he asked to be appointed."

Boy howdy those Republicans got all they ever dreamed of getting!

And Joe Biden has flatly said he will not pardon his Prodigal Son, who is the only surviving child of three his dead first wife delivered and showed him as a baby.

You can’t make this **** up.

Bring popcorn.

Weiss is a Garland/Obama lackey that has no intention of ever prosecuting anybody with the last name Biden.

He has already been accused of running cover for Hunter at one point before.

Garland's Gestapo is just taking care of their own as usual.

**** crooks.

Who the **** is David Weiss?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_C._Weiss

His record shows he’s a Reagan Republican!

——

Weiss received his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law.[2] He clerked for Justice Andrew D. Christie of the Delaware Supreme Court. He then served as an assistant United States Attorney in Delaware from 1986 to 1989, prosecuting violent crimes and white-collar criminal offenses. Leaving the U.S. Attorney's office, he worked as a commercial litigation associate and partner at the Duane Morris firm and as an executive at a financial services firm.[3][4] He returned to the Delaware U.S. Attorney's office as First Assistant U.S. Attorney in 2007.[2]

Weiss was serving as acting U.S. Attorney for Delaware when he was nominated to the permanent position by then-president Donald Trump. On February 15, 2018, his nomination to be the United States Attorney was confirmed by the Senate by voice vote. He was sworn in on February 22, 2018.[2]

So... you're privy to Weiss' voting records since he was 18?

Who knew?

Point is, he will NEVER bring any charges against anyone named Biden... ever.

Garland wouldn't have appointed him if there was even the slightest chance of that happening.

Case in point, from the thrown out plea deal, where are the charges?

Hunter Biden is looking at over 10 years in federal prison for tax evasion and lying on a federal gun application. Hunter Biden is going to prison.

Bruce is still playing the D's versus the R's game like they are still actually two different things anymore.

Weiss is DC bureaucrat who's intention is to protect the establishment. The little letter by his name is irrelevant.

I wouldn't count on it.

He should, along with a host of others, but I really wouldn't count it.

We do not have a two-tiered justice system. That is a right wing conspiracy theory. Hunter is just as **** as President Trump is. No one is above the law.

The "two tiered" justice system does exist in this Country, but it is primarily based on socioeconomic status of the defendants.

The rich and connected can buy favoritism and influence where the average Joe can't. In short, people with means tend to skate while the poor **** go to prison.

The prosecutions (or lack thereof) of politicians isn't so much a "two tier" system as it is the political weaponization against "outside the beltway" individuals that have become a threat to the establishment's existence.

My prediction is, Hunter (and everyone associated with him) will skate, while they will do all the can to nail Trump's *** to the barn door.

The DC machine is in a bit of a pickle right now though. On the one hand, they need to assure that Trump never occupies the WH again... but on the other, if they actually try to imprison him to keep that from happening, the Country could seriously devolve into chaos and major civil unrest as a by product.

It's going to be an interesting 12-14 months leading into the 2024 cycle for sure.

The two tax charges of late filing are misdeanors.

The gun charge is a felony, but such a bull ****, bogus and obviously politically motivated over reach the judge may dismiss it, it’s hard to imagine a jury conviction, and if convicted Clarence Thomas would write the unanimous opinion it violated the 2nd amendment

Hunter Biden is likely the only person who admitted he had a drug problem in a book that has had a “gotcha” gun charge because he legally bought a gun, for self defense.

Excuse me.

DOJ guidelines give Weiss only a window that closes 90 days before November 5, 2024, the next presidential election.

But my guess is he’ll end it and Hunter will plead in a few months.

Weiss has been at this since 2018, when Bill Barr assigned it to him.

David Weiss is part of the coverup. Didn't he offer the immunity deal to the alcoholic crackhead son of Senile Joe?

After five years of investigation Weiss charged Hunter with two tax misdemeanors (Hunter paid all the back due taxes) and a bull **** gun charge, lying on a 4473.

A Trump appointed judge refused to allow Hunter to plead, for two reasons:

1. She frowned on the gun charge.  What proof did the government have other than Hunter’s book, he was a drug addict and knew he was violating the gun law?

2.  The deal breaker was she would not accept the plea unless the government agreed to stop charging Hunter after it was over, since it was, a plea deal, you know?
