Sam Bankman-Fried, the former FTX CEO, was ordered to jail on Friday after a judge revoked his bail for alleged witness tampering.
 The disgraced crypto mogul had been living under house arrest at his parents' home in Palo Alto, Calif., after posting an eye-popping $250 million bond. 

Bankman-Fried, widely known as SBF, was awaiting a trial set to begin on Oct. 2 after being charged by the U.S. government last year of orchestrating one of the largest financial frauds in history. The former crypto star faces the prospect of spending the rest of his life in jail if convicted of those charges.

Today Donald Trump received enough rope he will absolutely certainly violate his bond conditions, and hang himself.

Trump can access sensitive and secret discovery materials but like any other criminal defendant he cannot use those to threaten witnesses or try to influence the jury pool.

Trump attacked Jack Smith before he got home on social media.

Trump supporters expect him to have a mouth like Muhammad Ali, which is essential to Trumpism.

The judge warned Trump today any violations of his bond would result in a quicker trial date, but she’s going to have to lock him up, to shut him up, I think.

Trump has never, ever kept his mouth shut.

And that has served him well for well over forty years.

His criminal troubles in New York are, he deducted hush money payments to a porn star and a playboy bunny from his state taxes.  His lawyer only served two years on that rap.  It’s serious, but not a life sentence.
 
In Florida it’s a little more serious.  Trump asked a Portuguese janitor to wipe his hard drive clean after he was served a subpoena for the hard drive.  Add a few more years prison exposure.

 But it came out today, there are 11 million pages of discovery in the election fraud case. That’s staggering.
Trump is using volunteer lawyers to help him go through it.


And when the election fraud case does go to trial Mike Pence will make the case against Trump in ten minutes.

Asking the Vice President not to count the legal votes is a crime unimaginably serious, and unless he wins the Presidency or the jury hangs it means he will die behind steel bars.  They’ll never let him out.

Next comes Fulton Georgia, where Trump asked the Republican Secretary of State to find him 11,000 votes.  Georgia prisons are tough, and of course no Georgia Governor will ever pardon him.  Georgia is a purple state now.

A real wise guy, would run.

But if there’s a verdict in the election fraud case, he’ll likely  be remanded as a flight risk.

And before then, each day his mouth risks his freedom.

We surely live, in interesting times.

Fox News shut Tucker Carlson down right before his show was to have aired an interview with former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund. Yesterday, Tucker released a new interview he did with Sund, and it confirms everything you’ve suspected: The Capitol Police were kept in the dark about possible problems on January 6 and, when problems finally occurred, they were consistently denied timely aid. In other words, it was a set-up. (And I have an even darker take on events than Sund does.)

The interview is almost an hour long but, if you have the time, I recommend watching it. I’ve summarized a few of the high points, below, along with my theory about the fact that things went much deeper than even Sund seems to realize:
