I tend to agree.

The diagnosis is grim.
The prognosis is worse.
Neither one is clear. Agendas and scared cows are mucking this up.

However, I no longer trust statistics.
For all you know, suicides and OD's are murky and subject to interpretation.

Like the murder rates: I don't think counting a gang banger's brain splatter as a murder.
Culling the diseased from the herd maybe. Counting his death along with that of a store owner shot for $37?

A Fentanyl death: a few ways to interpret that mess.
Record high dead people, no doubt is true. Intentional overdose doesn't seem far-fetched.
