Finally we get an EV the average family can afford.....an economy model with fewer luxury items, shorter charge duration and less power. The sticker price? The people bringing you the green wants some in return.....$88,000.00. A really fantastic price if you figure in the subsidy from Joe's Inflation Production Act has reduced the figure from around $1.4 Million to the bargain offered at your dealership. Never mind the vehicle is getting less range than a wino on a unicycle, the key here is we're all being saved from the firestorm that recently devastated Hawaii.

EV's can work.  No gov. needed.  Private enterprise only.     No tax dollar involved.
All voluntary for the consumer.  The EV works if it is an "assistant"....not replacement.
Example--
I have an electric bicycle.  It is like a golf cart.   20mi.-range....20mph.    Pedal home if
you run out of juice.  My P/U stays parked for 2wks. at a time.   My gas bill is cut in half.
I am very frugal.   The ride to the grocery store is.....fun......like a horse into town.
Here, let's try this--
Kawasaki Mule.  Electric.  2nd. car in the driveway.  Fun.  40mi.-range....40mph.
Price-$5,000.00         An "assistant".   Neighborhood  "Grocery-car".
No tags, reg, or ins. needed.    Pure economical.
:)

Gov. Tax- Dollar should never be involved in private commerce.
All consumer-driven.     I am free-market, free enterprise,  capitalist.   No gov. needed.
The Communist & the Socialist hate me.    I laugh.
Elon Musk know this.      We are Libertarian 'problem-solvers'.

I am sailor.    I like wind & solar.......if it is voluntary.
Not jammed our throats by gov. fiat.....with my tax-dollar.
Example--
How much gas do I need to sail 25,000mi. around world ?
2/gal.
1 to get out the marina................1 to get back it.              LOL.....

Teslas run on three cents a mile and women love to ride in them as much as they do Ferraris.

Plus Uncle Sugar pays Elon Musk $7,500 each of your cost.

Ignorance is what hurts you.....Biden is paying the difference, or more accurately he's shoving it up your *** and you remain clueless.

That credit began under old O Bammy!

—-In 2010, the federal government implemented a program that offered up to $7500 in tax credits to buyers of electric vehicles. The purpose of the program was to incentivize people to buy more fuel-efficient vehicles by artificially bringing down the prices of EVs closer to those of internal combustion vehicles.—-

Forget all about the global warmers and the do gooders.

Elon Musk today is richer than Henry Ford was in constant dollars.

Because of that tax credit in ten years you will not want a gasoline car if it’s free.

The $33,000 after rebate Tesla will run two or three hours at 75 mph and recharge in minutes.

It is faster than a Charger Hellcat.

Charge it at home for three cents a mile and on the road for four or five.

And it’s going to be much cheaper than the same size gas car because it has no gas motor or transmission.

Tell me all the complaints you have against better?

Not pickups or SUVs

Tesla is likely to build two million four door cars a year next year.

Electric pick ups and SUVs are coming.

The last gasoline light vehicle likely will be a Jeep.

I've spent well over a quarter mill. My last 3 trucks(all new) have lasted over 11 years each and my wifey requires new every so often.  ouch.

In the 13 years of the tax credit the price to make a lithium car battery has fallen 90%.

And of course a 2023 EV is a helluva lot better than a 2010. By 2036 they will be much cheaper and better than today.

Compare a 1934 Ford V8 with a 1908 Model T.

By 1934 the horses and biggies were gone.
