Religion and money are about the same thing in some ways.
For example:

Bapists, Protestants, Lutherans, Catholics (among others) Christ rocks.
Everybody has their version of "The Main Guy".
Yet people piss on each other about it.

Yuan, Dollar, Dong, Peso, Rupee, Franc, Ruble... everybody wants more.
It's all just money.
People fight about it all the time.

Mixing one with the other doesn't seem like much of a stretch, really.
I mean belief systems in general...
