I regularly practice at 25 yards on beer cans turned so all I'm shooting at is the bottom.
 About every other week.
 At that distance the front dot covers the bottom of the can.
 He shoots big game with his. I don't remember which,Underwood or Buffalo Bore makes a Ted Nugent line of 10mm. ammo. 220 gr. hardcast. 1,200 fps. He's killed a cape buffalo with his G20.
 I've only killed some cans and some paper with mine.

What is a jack pine ?                                       

  The jack pine is a tree that grows predominately in a few counties in Michigan.. Where I live it's the most populous tree. An ugly thing that needs fire to open its cones and reseed itself. 
 It lends itself to bonsai though. Here's one I've been working on for 20 years. first place at a big bonsai show in Detroit 3 years ago.
