I'm pretty proud of this actually so I'm gonna brag...

Six months or so ago my GP wanted to start me on regime of BP meds based on the trends that my pressure was showing over the previous few months. On that particular visit I think I was around 155/85ish and he said I was stage 1 hypertension working on stage 2, and it was time to address it.

I've never been big on pharmaceuticals so I asked him to give me a chance to apply some lifestyle changes and see if I could improve my numbers naturally instead of through medication.

Over the last couple of months I've quit smoking, drastically reduced my alcohol intake, all but shunned processed and fast food, started back on an excersise routine that I had gotten away from during COVID, and lost almost 35lb.

I'm proud to say that this is now a pretty common BP reading for me WITHOUT any meds.

My Diastolic was a little high here as it's typically in the mid to high 60's, but that could be because I had an extra cup of coffee this morning.

Another big change I made was limiting myself to two cups of caffeinated coffee a day in the morning, and then decaf after that, but today I had three. 😀
