It's economical? It will save you a huge amount. 39 bucks over the life of the fan.!        do not leave your carbon footprint on your ceiling. lol

You are required to know every ceiling fan sold today has to meet federal regulations.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has had the authority to regulate the energy efficiency level of ceiling fan since 2005.

That's twice you have demonstrated you didn't read the linked article.  Nobody is saying ceiling faces aren't Energy Star compliant.  The proposed rule would increase the requirement (more efficient than current).  It would save consumers $39 over the life of the fan.  Since the average life of a ceiling fan is 10 year...that works out to a whopping $0.32 per month.  Damn...now every American household can realize their dream of becoming wealthy.

I have several 2002 ceiling fans still spinning in my home.  I was a Republican then.  We bought good ones that were Hunter brand.

What the 2005 regs, that likely took a decade to finalize did, was guarantee every consumer could buy an off brand fan that had an Energy Star and it will meet rigid government standards.

Now the government will raise the bar a little higher, in five or ten years.


I really don’t hate MAGAS, because they can’t see what’s evil and what is good.  

I hate the mother **** in suits and ties with college degrees that undermine everything good and decent the government regulates, by conning conservatives.

I have bought five ceiling fans and on was made in Taiwan, the rest in China. Biden will confiscate no fans. People can continue using their present fans and repair them if they wish.
