I'm pretty certain here in Florida is the #1 destination for New Yorkers looking to relocate.... We've always had numbers of them dividing up their time between seasonal homes here & NY (Snowbirds) and others seeking to retire in our State --- but the latest influx has been many more working age people... No doubt the Covid Restrictions that were in place up there chased thousands of them our way --- but also as the Vid suggests, many can be considered economic refugees looking to move their careers & businesses here because of the significantly higher cost of taxes and living up there......

I'm betting it's the same story in Texas with all those people &  businesses  pouring in from California.... An older of mine and his family live in Northern Idaho, and it's the same story there.... Lots of people relocating from California, as well as from Oregon & WA State (Portland & Seattle)..

Here in Florida, many like myself are just hoping they leave their voting habits that ****-up the States they came from back there before moving here.
