How Does Gas Get to Europe?

Until recently, four main routes led from Russia to the European Union. In late September 2022, a large leak in the pipeline Nord Stream 1 was discovered. It is unclear if deliveries through the pipeline will ever resume. In addition to Nord Stream 1, Russian gas supplies were also delivered through the Yamal-Europe pipeline running through Belarus and Poland, and the Progress and Soyuz pipelines through Ukraine, as well as the Turkstream via Turkey in the south. No gas has been flowing through the Yamal pipeline since mid-May, after Russia halted deliveries. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is imported through various port terminals, most of which are located in Western Europe.

In May 1973 I weighed about 140 pounds and was 5’6”

All that summer of 73 I drove thousands and thousands of oak fence posts using my great grandfather’s 18 pound fence maul, and dug dozens and dozens of deep holes in the ground for corner and line posts.

Each day my mother fed me heaps of fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy and pies or I’d go to Dunnegan where Bea Ellis would feed me double cheeseburgers and fries and pies and meat loaf and I ate so much that summer I gained 35 pounds of hard muscle.

By September I’d grown to 5’10.  My bones hurt, I grew so fast.

There was this bully named William at school that liked to knock books out of my hands and call me a Campbellite.  

The first day of school, I started to go in Miss Adella’s classroom and William snuck up behind me and knocked the books out of my hands and laughed at me, and said, you dropped your Bible, Campbellite!

I hit him square on his chin and knocked him quite a ways down the hall way.


Johnny was afraid I might of killed him, but he woke up pretty soon, and me and William were friends afterwards, and Miss Adella didn’t see a thing, must have been taking to somebody else.

I learned that day how to turn bullies into friends.



 

Germany is in a deep recession.

No longer the "engine" of Europe.

And Russia simply redirected the energy to China...HAHA

I mean, picture a girl who just took a nosedive from the ugly tree and hit every branch coming down. And... and Dan's got his shirt off and he's working on this bra and he's tryin to get it off and all of a sudden Shawn just screams out, "Danny you're a young man, don't do it!"

And so Alice Jardine hears this and she screams and she jumps up and she tries to get running out of the barn but she's still got this shirt over her head. She goes running right into the wall and knocks herself out. So now Danny's just so mad at us. He starts coming after us, but... but at the same time Alice is over there unconscious.

​​​He's gotta wake her up, So he grabs her by a leg and he's dragging her. At the same time he picks up a shovel. And he's going after Shawn, and Shawn's saying, "What are you trying to hit me for? I just did you a favor!" And so this makes Dan more angry. He tries to swing this thing, he looses the shovel, goes outta his grasp and hits a kerosene lantern; the thing explodes, the whole barn almost goes up because of this thing.

That was it.

Miss Adella’s principal was Miss Lela Fern.

I had never struck a human being in my entire life before I hit William and I hit him out of instinct.

I was all I could do to not fall on my knees and tell him how sorry I was and beg forgiveness.

So when he came to I grabbed his hand and helped him up, and the principal was coming up the stairs and I said Miss Lela Fern William has slipped and fallen,  and landed on his face.

Miss Lela Fern, said to William, that’s very tragic.

Would you like to have Coach Randy (who wielded a big wood paddle) look at that injury to see if you need an ice pack?

William could only mutter No, as his mouth was full of blood.

She looked at my right hand and said what happened to your hand, and I said I must have skinned it trying to help William.

We sat in Miss Adella’s class and John Bobinmeyer couldn’t quit laughing and Betty who lived close to William by Cliqout, kept smiling at me every time I’d look her way.

Betty, was a cheerleader for the 73/4 Tigers.

William played center.

I was the manager.  I wore slacks and a tie and a blazer to the games, and was second in command to Randy.
