because right now Trump is at the center of an ideological battle for this country .....love him or hate him....

I’m still a young old man, but at 65 I am an old man, reminiscing about how damned delicious Betty looked in her black and orange cheerleader outfit and how the other, taller girls that weren’t from Cliqout sort of acted like they were better than Betty.

The other girl’s fathers owned dairy farms or stores or were were the daughters of the dentist and the Superintendent of Schools, and Betty’s Daddy worked for the Frisco Line  as a Section Foreman, at the Cliqout  Station,

Somewhere up in heaven is my school teacher mother, who detested high school sports as  waste of educational resources and yet made me be the manager if I wanted to see the basketball games.

She’d been a college roommate of Principal Lela Fern who’d more or less adopted young Coach Randy and I suppose that’s how I got my Orange and black blazer and orange tie and rode the bus to all the away games with the team.  

Then in October 1973 came the Yom Kipper War and we didn’t know it then but the First Gas Crisis changed our lives from that day to this day and eventually led to President Donald Trump.

The entire country blamed those **** rag headed camel jockeys and not Richard Nixon or his support for Israel.

When I’d get back from riding the bus the sprig of 1974 gasoline had doubled, and I saw my first new little **** box cars, and there was a 55 mph national speed limit.

The great American nation had gone backwards, for very first time.

It gave fodder for Trumpism forty years later.

I hit him square on his chin and knocked him quite a ways down the hall way.

Johnny was afraid I might of killed him, but he woke up pretty soon, and me and William were friends afterwards, and Miss Adella didn’t see a thing, must have been taking to somebody else.

I learned that day how to turn bullies into friends.
