I always respected classical liberals. They knew their ****. They defended individual rights while not stomping on the rights of others. They weren't nutjobs. All I see now are progressives. They defend individual rights and couldn't care less whose rights they stomp on while doing it. They can't just defend a person's right to be a tranny. They have to carry it further by allowing them to violate a woman's privacy, influence kids to turn, and enter women sports. All tramples on the rights of others and they couldn't care less. A real liberal would have just stopped at their right to be a tranny, and leave it at that. They would never defend this ****.

There are still a few sensible libs left around... not many, but a few.

People like Bill Maher are what I would call a classic liberal... and Alan Colmes when he was still around.
Jimmy Dore too.

Hannity and Colmes was a great show. Hannity by himself, not so much.

True, Jimmy Dore is solid and sensible.
I disagree with Maher, but he at least seems to be a reasonable human being.

Maher is about as left as a liberal can be, but he is reasonable and has common sense... which is what the vast majority of the progressive left is lacking these days.

Maher tends to practice what he preaches too, which is pretty uncommon from those on the left as well.

Once upon a time in 1975 any time I wanted a double cheeseburger from the restaurant at the Cattleman Auction  when I was covered head to toe in cow **** running the back pens,  there was this pretty lady in the main office about my mother’s age above me high on the buyer’s  promenade.

My friend JC is fifteen years older than me.

He loves telling my daughter about how when I was 17 all I had to do, was make a signal to the head office and a pretty little waitress from the cafe would deliver me a double cheeseburger and a Pepsi wading through the cow **** in her high heels, and I’d tip that girl and toast JC with my Pepsi, and never miss one cow or bull out of the auction ring that needed penned.
