They are already wearing masks in my local library system. As a responsible citizen, I'm all in. And I will do my part for encouraging cooperation. If someone talks to me, they will either be wearing a mask or a bloody nose. Their choice.

With COVID-19 hospitalizations steadily inching up in the U.S. this summer, some hospitals, schools and businesses are reinstating mask mandates.Two new COVID-19 variants—EG.5 and BA.2.86—have recently emerged. The World Health Organization (WHO) classified the former as a "variant of interest" earlier in August.
The latter variant has only been reported in the U.S., the U.K., Denmark, South Africa and Israel as of August 23, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
In a risk assessment summary, the CDC wrote that the BA.2.86 variant may be more likely to infect people with existing immunity to COVID-19, either from vaccinations or prior infections, than previous variants. As the new variants of COVID-19 spread, hospital admissions are rising—there were at least 15,000 in the week ending August 19. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, masks were widely used as a method of limiting the spread of the virus, especially before vaccinations were available—and mandates drew anti-mask protests in some places.
Dr. Fauci said "The country will see a return of widespread mask mandates soon; some places are bringing back pandemic-era requirements temporarily in response to recent spikes in COVID-19 cases."

You do realize masks are a symbol you’ve been fully vaccinated?
George Soros and Bill Gates had a big meeting in Switzerland and sent us all marching orders, and we are supposed to all have masks, as a sign of recognition.

Trying to use logic on the sheep is useless George.
If the Government says that masking up and hopping on one leg in your underwear by your driveway every night at midnight will keep you from getting the evil virus, then people will not only do it in droves, but will get pissed at the people that refuse too and call for their arrest.
I think they are just feeling it out this time to see how many people jump on without question.

this topic came up during a monthly meeting with the governor and he made it clear that it would take something unprecedented to have mask mandates come back. While I do not care for the guy.. that is admirable.
