Fire investigators have determined that a natural gas explosion destroyed NFL player Caleb Farley‘s suburban Charlotte home in North Carolina, officials confirmed Tuesday. The explosion killed Caleb's father, Robert, and left another person with non-life-threatening injuries.

Farley was white enough to pass for white and since he didn’t kneel at the national anthem Fox News is crying about this like the death of a Pope.
But having too much money resulted in him buying a fancy, high dollar gas stove.

A good looking wood fire place insert can be quite expensive. To replace the one we had in Oregon was $9-12k.

Propane leaks send gas to the basement where when the gas hot water heater kicks on you go see Jesus that day, but your kids collect a huge insurance check.

One burns lower to higher and the other higher to lower. kind of like dawn never meets dusk on a rotating planet between night and day or same seasons arrive same solstice north and south of the equator.

We sold propane for years- I was a kid.
I was the female chubby version of Bobby on King of the Hill at the time
Al's bottled gas!-I used to answer the phone at age ten!
I was a smart kid... Put mommy on- no- I can handle getting you a tank of gas! hoot and take a message.
Used to ride the one ton delivery truck with pops. All the ol ladies fed me chocolate chip COOKIES!

Where I grew up Pacific Gas & Electric was our service and I assume there were millions of stoves, water heaters and furnaces powered by natural gas.
The old gas appliances had a small flame [pilot flame] that was constantly lit from a tiny amount of gas that was deliberately allowed to "leak".
Solenoid valves controlled by bi-metallic switches was how the supply of gas was allowed to flow into the main burners.
Millions upon millions of ON / OFF cycles were handled flawlessly year after year with all sorts of "FAIL SAFE CONTROL" schemes in place to prevent calamities.
In the even that gas leakages were smelled by the public...PG&E dispatched response personel ASAP without fail.
I don't know what the actual safety record was in terms of numbers... but generally speaking I think it is safe to say it was outstanding.

I have started to get my house ready for changing from an electric stove to a gas stove. If you are a chef or wanna-be chef.. temperature control is key. Yes, occasionally things explode but you have a pretty high degree of control over that.

So in the winter - When the power is out. 3 days- I have figured out how to make me a homemade toilet!

Its a wire plant stand- that I can sit on- a bucket under. Then i dump it out the window!

I was raised up with a gas stove and I want to get on Craigslist and get her a free gas stove and set that bastard outside on the deck.
If you **** up using a gas stove it’s a fatal **** up.
The only reason for a gas stove is better heat regulation.
