Interesting experiment. This explains victimhood in general. If homos, trannies, blacks, and minorities are told that they are discriminated against because they are different, then they will believe it. All people have to do is tell them that they are oppressed, and poof, they believe it.
They did an experiment with a group of women and they put scars on their faces. They told these women that they were going into a job interview and that the purpose of the experiment is to find out whether people with facial disfigurements encounter discrimination. They showed the women the scars in the mirror and the women saw themselves with the scars.Then as they led them out of the room, they said, “We are just going to touch it up a little bit.” As they touched it up, they removed the scarring completely. So, the women went into the job interview thinking that they are scarred, but actually were their normal selves.The result of the experiment is that those women came back reporting a massively increased level of discrimination. Indeed, many of them came back with comments that the interviewer had made that they felt were referencing their facial disfigurement.This is why this ideology of victimhood is so dangerous. Because if you preach to people constantly that we’re all oppressed, then that primes people to look for that.

this applies to all things.. some folks think that they are being discriminated against for being white. Whether that is real or imagined.. depends on the situation. We had someone make that claim about our hiring practices. The flaw in that argument is that we get no white candidates or very few.. they are free to apply. Race is not even mentioned on the application once. Can't discriminate against something that is non-existent.

Yes... so then explain why for the last two recruitments.. we only had 9 applicants. Only one one which was white. You have no idea about the race until you select them for the interview. Your assumption is that we had 9 white candidates and one hispanic and so are choosing the hispanic as a diversity hire.. Hmm.. but in our case, it is exactly the opposite.

I am not saying there is discrimination. I just wanted clarification as to how you couldn't tell their race.

and to make it even juicier.. we kept the recruitment open for six months for both positions. The white candidates had six months to apply. The jobs are in Carson City so no issue with it being ghetto. To cut you off.. we did not hire the white candidate because he had no experience in programming and both of these positions are mostly coding and writing complex R/Python scripts.

Interesting. Why would they even apply if they couldn't code? It was part of the job.

Do not have that answer. The job title is technically Economist but we make it clear in the job description that one must know their R, SQL, and Python. Most of the lay public thinks that we just sit around and opine about economic ideas. Not even close.. it is mostly repetitive processing of raw data and excel spreadsheets.
