I don’t believe that a group of women would go to an interview without checking a mirror to make sure that they look OK

I doubt that many men would either 

they would at least look at the “scar” on their face

just out of curiosity

Do not have that answer. The job title is technically Economist but we make it clear in the job description that one must know their R, SQL, and Python. Most of the lay public thinks that we just sit around and opine about economic ideas. Not even close.. it is mostly repetitive processing of raw data and excel spreadsheets.

probably because all of the local schools took more minorities because of quota requirements!!!

They did look in the mirror.  After they saw the scars on themselves, and the researchers said that they needed to touch it up a little more. During the touch-up they removed the scars without them knowing.

BTW: My friend Jet died.  I've know him for 40 plus years  when he move to my Hood from VA.  He dated my oldest friend in the world s' sister.  I talked to him in the phone almost a month ago.

Not even close... At the local schools, recipients of the BA/BS in Economics are 80% white. We have a hard and fast requirement that the applicant has to have a BS or BA in Economics. The real reason is $$$.. the public sector pays about 1/2 of the private sector. And the young candidates would rather move to San Jose, San Fran, Fresno, and make 3 to 4 times what they would in the NV public sector.
