Does anyone believe it would be a peaceful transfer of power, without any accusations of cheating or sedition? Would the left just sit on their hands and accept it?
Does anyone even think the establishment would let Trump take the oath?
I personally think it's gonna get **** regardless... because if Trump is still alive through the process, he will either be right in the thick of it, or at the worst playing spoiler for the rest of the major players.
At this point I think their is gonna be chaos... if we're not all dealing with nuclear fallout by then.
I'm not really a pessimist but nature... really I'm not!

Trump could be a mighty strong Independent in the General... and at this point could suck a sizable enough chunk out of both sides and the middle to pull it off.Taipan » 31 Aug 2023, 2:31 pm » wrote: ↑ I might be wrong, but I am predicting that neither Trump

Of course it would be lies and chaos on the left...the establishment is terrified of Trump.RedheadedStranger » 31 Aug 2023, 2:23 pm » wrote: ↑ What would happen if Trump did actually manage to win the EC in 2024?

So... you say if Trump wins, that the leftist mob will sit on their hands and it will be a peaceful transfer of power.Bruce » 31 Aug 2023, 2:35 pm » wrote: ↑ If Trump wins the EC Kamala Harris will declare Trump the winner on January 6, 2025.
And if Trump loses, then it’s going to take days to count all the dead Trumptards around the Capitol.
Never again.
My concern is that the divide has gotten too jagged.impartialobserver » 31 Aug 2023, 2:44 pm » wrote: ↑ Welcome to the real world. No election will be ever deemed fair by the overall populace. The losing side will always claim that the race was rigged. If Trump wins... there will be 100 threads on this forum in the first week about how it was rigged by someone and that they know this because someone said this and someone may have done that. If Trump wins (which I think he will if legal issues do not preclude it), I will say, "ok" and move on to the next day.
Who's going to be killing these Trumptards?Bruce » 31 Aug 2023, 2:35 pm » wrote: ↑ If Trump wins the EC Kamala Harris will declare Trump the winner on January 6, 2025.

Well, we shall see. I think some of this depends on how the economy is doing in November 2024. If not so good, then armed uprising is possible. If doing well.. less folks will feel desperate enough to violently uprise. An easy way to cut this off at the bud would be to make all mail-in ballots requested by the user. This would mean no automatic mail in votes based on the DMV database. If the user requests it.. that acts as a database clean up measure. It is not realistic to have all states go completely to walk-in voting and paper ballots.RedheadedStranger » 31 Aug 2023, 2:53 pm » wrote: ↑ My concern is that the divide has gotten too jagged.
At this point, I see large groups getting physically aggressive towards each other regardless of which "side" wins. The division in this Country has been simmering since Clinton's impeachment, and is worse today than I have ever seen it in my lifetime.
I just have a bad feeling that it's gonna be ugly regardless. What better argument to implement "fundamental change" in this Country than a declaration that the Constitutionally directed election system is busted beyond repair, and in need of tossing, than a Civil War?
Why do they call it a "civil" war anyway?
There ain't nothing civil about it.
No, the first priority would be to ****-can the voter registration rolls and start from scratch.impartialobserver » 31 Aug 2023, 3:03 pm » wrote: ↑ Well, we shall see. Spare me the crap about it being too much work for the bureaucrats.

The center is shrinking. There are fewer moderates that don't abandon principles for party. There are no pro life democrats. Democrats can't disagree with notions on gender or race.RedheadedStranger » 31 Aug 2023, 2:34 pm » wrote: ↑ Trump could be a mighty strong Independent in the General... and at this point could suck a sizable enough chunk out of both sides and the middle to pull it off.
I still say the establishment either kills him, or locks away in a dungeon. Those are the only two chances they have to cure the pickle they find themselves in.
I can handle it fine... however, your proposal is nothing but fantasy.
Why would 1000s of unarmed people protesting the outcome of the election need to be killed any more than the 1000s of Blacks rioting in any major city...?Bruce » 31 Aug 2023, 2:35 pm » wrote: ↑ If Trump wins the EC Kamala Harris will declare Trump the winner on January 6, 2025.
