Once the Biden investigations are over, neither will be eligible to run. Probably for the best. Both are old enough to keel over any day now anyway.

Hypothetical:

The more conservative the judge the more likely they read the 14th to exclude Trump.  Conservatives are originalists. The original authors had just won a four year civil war.  They’d have strung Trump up on a gallows for the insurrection.  They tried impeaching President Johnson for being too soft on rebels and came within one vote.

The problem will come with who has standing.

A group of conservative state Secretaries of State need to block Trump from the Republican primary.  SCOTUS would likely rule 8 to exclude Trump and Corrupt Black Judge Thomas whatever he was paid to rule.
