In 2003 I experienced this. A neighbors 10yo daughter
was reading a book from the school library called JADE GREEN.
It had passages about a man molesting a pre-teen girl.
The narrator had the girl saying ""his fingers felt good
but I was nervous. I was scared, but I didnt want him to stop".
My neighbor met with the librarian and principal.
They advised him that the school followed
the 1st Amendment.
He replied...""then where are the Playboys for the boys??""
