Having a college degree in your back pocket is excellent just don't use a fraudulent government school loan to acquire such. It's not worth the inconvenience.

Instead of college think community college and/or Vocational-Technical School. Both can set a person up with the skills to become self employed in a profession that will produce very good salaries for the long term.

I suggest more than one source of income BECAUSE the USA markets are
so unpredictable. Forget corporate America they also are unpredictable and
often mismanaged.

Remember young people the USA job market has fake republicans and some DINO's in congress, Wall Street,
outsourcing, Leveraged Buyout Scams and Private Equity Scams working against long term dependable employment.

That's not actually true.  It sucks big time for people with useless college degrees, like in African Studies or some other woke-****.  If you have an accounting degree and are a CPA - it's name your salary.  Most graduates haven't a clue as to what they can actually make out there.

Got a degree in electrical engineering - name your price; there is a dearth of new electrical engineers which are desperately needed.

I could name other college degrees which are in high demand as well.  Parents need to stop telling their retarded little babies to "just find a job that you love" and tell them to find get a college degree leading to a career with high demand and big starting salaries.

So you are saying that your KNEEGROW GOD'S COLLEGE LOAN PROGRAM is an ABJECT FAILURE!!

Psssssst. ******* ****, REPUBLICANS tried to tell you this BEFORE your KNEEGROW GOD, ovomit, ever passed this ****!!
In 2010, Obama eliminated the federal guaranteed loan program, which let private lenders offer student loans at low interest rates. Now, the Department of Education is the only place to go for such loans.

Obama sold this government takeover as a way to save money — why bear the costs of guaranteeing private loans, he said, when the government could cut out the middleman and lend the money itself?

The cost savings didn't happen. In fact, the Congressional Budget Office just increased its 10-year forecast for the loan program's costs by $27 billion, or 30%.What did happen was an explosive growth in the amount of federal student loan debt. President Clinton phased in direct federal lending in 1993 as an option, but over the next 15 years the amount of loans was fairly stable. The result of Obama's action is striking. In each of the past six years, federal direct student loan debt has climbed by more than $100 billion.

Unless one is moving into a specialized field employers don't give a damn what your "area of expertise" might be
all that is important is the degree as that represents focus, determination, will power and success not to mention
will be worth a few more bucks to a salary package.

I stand by my position ...................

Let the government fund 2 years of Vocational Technical Training or 2 years Jr College/Community College. Now students are "trained " to go make a living and expect above a living wage.........

If one has experience equal to what an engineering degree might provide then a communications degree will open the doors.
