CHICAGO — After an onslaught of online criticism, and days of silence, the head of the Chicago Teachers Union now admits she sends her eldest son to a private high school.
     Stacy Davis Gates has been an outspoken critic of school choice, but she said her family was forced to make “unfair choices” due to disinvestment in her own community.      “Regrettably, whether you are an ardent supporter of building and investing in more high-quality neighborhood public schools or believe in ‘school choice,’ we can all agree that options for Black students, their families and entire Black communities on this city’s South and West Sides are limited,” Davis Gates wrote in a letter to CTU members. “That is precisely why CTU members have struck, organized, and worked hard to change our city.”

     “Not only are our classrooms the victims of compounded racism and redlining from decades past, but they are also struggling to recover from waves of school closings and disinvestment under previous mayors,” she wrote. “Public and charter high schools in our Black and Brown neighborhoods are living and breathing examples of inequality. Nearly all lack the thriving extracurricular activities, sports programs, wraparound services or other ingredients that make for a high-quality neighborhood public school.”
      “ If CPS is so bad that CTU head @stacydavisgates considered sending a child to another state to escape the system, why does she fight to trap poor kids in it?” the Illinois Policy Institute posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

       Not the first time Kerry was brought into question regarding privately owned Luxury transport... 

     There was also the case of the new $7,000,000 Yacht he and his wife Tereza bought in 2010.... Instead of docking it in their State of Residence Massachusetts, they docked it in neighbouring Rhode Island in attempt to avoid paying the $500,000 MA State Sales Tax, as well as the $70,000 annual Excise Tax..... But of course when Kerry's Tax-Dodging ploy was made public, he and Tereza fumbled through an explanation,  -- and then paid the Tax....

         Although accidental / unintentional, at least 2 of Kerry's Purple Hearts were self-inflicted.... 

      The first was when he was trying to sight the Swift Boat's 50 Cal... He he shot a boulder on the river bank... A bullet fragment ricocheted back at him and struck his hand -- this was treated with a Bandaid... 

       The second was when he was trying to blow-up a Rice storage bin in a Village... He dropped a Grenade into the bin and had not put enough distance between himself and the explosion..... If anyone was deserving of a Medal, it was the poor Navy Medic who had the miserable task of removing Rice Frags from Kerry's sorry ***.

      Agreed...... at the time there was the 3 & out rule when it came to Purple Hearts... If you got 3, they sent you home.... All three of Kerry's didn't produce enough blood to wet a mosquito's beak... 

     But the worst from Kerry was his performance regarding the "Winter Soldiers" ---- when he paraded a buffet line of  fellow Veterans in front of Congress, who allegedly witnessed War Crimes committed by US Servicemen in Nam.... Then the truth came out that none had served or seen combat in Vietnam, and several had never even been in the Military at all...
