Thinking of series of broken knees
Where the feet hurt and the tempo fly
And there's no exit in any direction
'Cept the one that you can't see with your eyes
Wasn't making any great connection
Wasn't falling for any kentic energy scheme
Nothing that would pass inspection
Just thinking of a series of broken knees

Translation: *** Farian just finished a late nite street walking head job. The john ran away without paying. Out of shape and Flabby *** ran after the john demanding his money. He tripped on a bud light bottle and cracked his head.Pastafarian » 10 Sep 2023, 8:38 pm » wrote: ↑ That’s why I’ve been here so much lately. The pain was unbearable and I fainted.
no more 2am workout sessions for a while.
I did too. I was fooling around with a simple exercise thingy- anyways... hurt myself- it created a horrible upper back ache condition.impartialobserver » 12 Sep 2023, 12:39 pm » wrote: ↑ Well, hope that you have a speedy recovery. Tore a muscle in my upper back once and that was quite the ordeal.

It got so bad and I put duck tape on the area!
It fixed it! then I perfected my invention- to sports tape!
till this day- i make a patch and stick it on the area. I invented it first.
I worked in a factory- aflcio- I sewed pockets? Had a hip apparatus on the sewing machines- That turned with my knee. Over and over again- hundreds of times a day. First thing that happened- Couldn't stand sitting. Had cushions piled up on my chair. Still hurtimpartialobserver » 13 Sep 2023, 12:22 pm » wrote: ↑ Its been 21 years since I did that. Still that would have been helpful at the time. I was working at a bread factory and just kept working right through it. Union setting and one of the rules was that if you walk off the job.. you are fired. I needed that job badly and so just kept going.

So they moved me to another department. The end department.
It was my job to fold the shirts- so they looked perfect in the package for sale. They tested for this.
After a year of that- I couldn't feel my fingers.... neck?
I did the same thing. I worked and worked thru it. Till i got hurt so bad.
eventually I woke up and walked out. The union was nasty- and I probably could have got comp? But wtf- 2 times? wasn't lookin for a third injury!.didn't want a job like that after that!
Oh yea! after I quit- Warren Buffy bought the place out. The simpletons thought the place was saved! Yea -he came to the rescue! yes the rich investor would save them?impartialobserver » 13 Sep 2023, 12:46 pm » wrote: ↑ That sounds very similar to the end processes in the bread factory (bagging and packaging). It closed in may 2003. In short, the company offered a pay cut but the jobs would stay. Well the union said, "hell no". Well, the factory closed and everyone ended up in Henderson, NV or Ogden, UT and every single one of them took a larger pay cut and/or was demoted.
Yeah, corporate America is pretty cutthroat.sootedupCyndi » 13 Sep 2023, 1:20 pm » wrote: ↑ Oh yea! after I quit- Warren Buffy bought the place out. The simpletons thought the place was saved! Yea -he came to the rescue!

We were a bit overpaid honestly considering that it was Boise, Idaho in the early 2000's. $15.96 per hour with loads of OT led to a fairly good life. Folks got greedy. They were going to go down to $13.85 and still have the 60+ hour weeks. I took the unpopular second option.. retraining. There were 3 options; 1. move to another interstate brands location 2. retraining in other field 3. on your own. Which would you have done?
