it is when the economy is tanking!
Where I used to work; bragged and advertised they've NEVER had a layoff
Employed about 350 when I retired
Was producing like crazy.
Now: cutting employees, down to about 240, and warehouse is full, no where to stack glass.
In fact, they're "crushing". just breaking glass on the weekends. Can't stop the furnace or it would self destroy.

I am a data person and well.. can't really argue with this. The other measure of inflation, PPE, says about the same story.

 Wall Street has mostly priced in a pause in rate hikes at the Fed's meeting next week. Fed funds futures pricing data as of Wednesday morning indicate a 97% probability of rates remaining the same, according to the CME FedWatch Tool.
