The August 2023 consumer price index rose 3.7% on an annual basis, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said Wednesday.

The increase was mostly attributable to a spike in gasoline prices in August. That increase should be temporary, economists said.

At a high level, inflationary pressures are due to an imbalance between supply and demand. They've been felt globally during the pandemic era.

Inflation rose in August on the back of higher gasoline prices, according to the consumer price index. But there's good news for Americans: That increase is likely temporary, economists said. Aside from energy, there are signs that inflation continued its broad retreat in August, they said.

"This should just be a temporary interruption of the downward trend," said Andrew Hunter, deputy chief U.S. economist at Capital Economics."Broadly, we're already seeing pretty clear signs the situation is approaching normal again," he added.

And Ukraine strikes deep in Crimea

CNN) — Two Russian warships were damaged after Ukraine launched an extensive assault on a Russian ship repair base in Crimea early Wednesday morning, officials said, in what appears to be Kyiv’s most ambitious strike on the port since the war began.

You obviously don't get the real news- because his next plan is to attack the truckers. Good luck with that hope.

"Bruce" is paid to post here.

I know this for a fact.

You're wasting your time "debating" him.

He goes home with a paycheck.

You go home with nothing.

Glad you axed!

Well, it because the conservative opinion is the majority opinion in this world.  Libtard news outlets mostly shut off their internet comments sections because their leftist drivel was sliced & diced by common sense.

Marxist opinion is always the minority opinion, but they sell it as majority opinion.  Now you know why "Bruce" has so many accounts.

You ever recite any of these old narratives?

"2 heads are better than one.".
"Great minds think the same way.".
"Safety in numbers.".
"Without rule of law humanity has no order.".
But genetics has an order of arriving replacements that never changes outcomes next, each replacement added never being the same total sum genetic achievement ancestrally made to date as arrived before.

Space one occupies having time to evolve uniquely here now one at a time mutually evolving in series parallel displacement as ancestrally took place into current events.

It’s been fully sixty years ago I realized that when my Daddy took me to the barbershop, after I got out of kindergarten at noon,,,,,

My father did not cuss, swear, drink ,smoke or talk nasty about women

A haircut was $1.50 and Daddy paid two dollars.

The old men would spin wild tales about new cars with 100 mile per gallon carburetors, and Daddy never said a word

The other men said the world was just about to end and the younger people were going to have a horrible time, and my Daddy would never agree with them

He’s point at me and say my son will take air conditioning for granted, and not have to get a hair cut so he’ll have a cool place to loaf.:)

He had the largest funeral in the history of our little town.

Daddy was a good Christian and an optimist.
