to play Devil's advocate.. getting hard evidence aka video, audio, signed/verified documents is not as easy as it seems. Most of what we call evidence is purely circumstantial. This happened at 10 pm (just an example) and this happened at 8 pm (on the same day) so the logical conclusion (purely subjective ) is that this happened in the middle.

So, the position has moved from 'Repubs have no evidence' to 'Repubs have no hard evidence'. We're going to have to wait and see about the evidence, but the step backwards has been noted.
And look at it this way, if there turns out to be no 'hard evidence' - well, the Dems floated election altering false accusations against Trump for multiple years with no evidence at all - did you care? Do you now?
