"The United Auto Workers (UAW) union will go on strike against all of Detroit’s big three automakers at the same time for the first time in the union’s history, after General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis failed to reach a labor agreement with the union before their contracts expired Thursday night."

"“UAW members feel abandoned by the Democratic Party,” former UAW President Bob King told Politico this week, noting the Democrat majority’s continued support for job-killing free trade as well as Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) which is handing out billions in taxpayer subsidies to auto companies and their top line."

"“I think there’s a segment of the Democratic Party that sees itself as serving corporations rather than the common good … we’ve had a lot of disappointments,” King said."

Now if they only had a place where EVs can be recharged. I guess that comes after Biden has ruined the auto companies.

Renewables aren't really renewable. They keep leaving that part out.

I love that they think they should work 20% less hours, but get paid for the hours they didn't work at a higher hourly rate.

Can you say "Go **** yourself"?

Never cross a picket line, my folks always said.

My Uncle Ben was a Teamster, and hauled Hostess bread and pastry goods.

Daddy would hold his hand up when we’d plow in sight of Bug Tussle on Elmer’s Sixty, and I knew it was the signal to stop the 1953 Ford Jubilee I was operating.

We’d take our water jug and go sit on the foundation of Elmer and Cora’s house, and across the prairie my Mama would see us and bye and bye she’d bring the afternoon snack.

I knew that Elmer’s Sixty cost $300 in 1876 when my Great Grandfather and mother bought it, and when he died in 1920 that Elmer and Cora paid $4,000 to the four brothers and sisters.

I’d heard about the sale Elmer had in 1936 when that sixty Daddy paid $900 for in 1944 had struck off sold for $225.

Elmer and Cora moved to Bakersfield California where they worked like slaves in the fields of the other man, and never saw Bug Tussle again.

I've crossed many.  And I was (back before dirt was invented...or at least it feels that way) an elected official in a labor union.

To boil it down for the lay person.. UAW wants a 36 percent boost in pay. The reason for this is that with the increased electronics in vehicles (EV or Gas powered).. there is less need for workers. Is this a risk worth taking for the UAW .. I would think not. Some of it is my confessed bias against unions. Been in a union setting once and it kinda sucked. My question (and one that does not have an answer) would be if the companies cave in and give them this massive pay raise.. will it be enough to satisfy them for years to come? Or are we going to be back at the bargaining table in 2 to 4 with UAW wanting another substantial pay raise for their workers? My guess is that the latter would come true.

My folk’s last live in hired hand John Galt got married to a  girl named Penny, and after that my father used the hired hand’s house for his fox hounds.

The hired hand got a good job driving a semi, and things were good for him and Penny until one day, John Galt got blown up

——-“It was literally like a bomb had gone off in the eastbound lane of the highway,” says Walker.Walker says he couldn’t see the hole’s bottom for a while and walked around to view it from different vantage points. Walker ran into another deputy and walked with him for a while. He asked the deputy what he was doing on the scene; the deputy told Walker he was gathering evidence and human remains. During their walk around the area, Walker and the deputy found:
  • A solid axle
  • The truck’s engine
  • A cowboy boot belonging to the driver with a foot inside
Walker says the deputy found several more remains after finding the foot.
The truck driver was 48-year-old John A. Galt from Oklahoma City; Galt drove for Tri-State Motors of Joplin. The local Teamsters union was on strike against the trucking company. One of those on strike was Bobby Lee Shuler. Shuler had a rifle with him and was planning to fire at two Tri-State trucks.

Daddy took me to that hole in 1-44 and made me promise, never to cross a picket line.

I never have, and never will.

The Biden Regime printed up  tons of cash and handed it to  the 90% Liberal Run Unions in order to buy votes.
On the other side of the coin....
.CAN ANYONE POINT TO A UNION LEADER WHO EVER WENT ON RECORD AGAINST UNION DESTROYING  ILLEGAL ALIEN LABOR...?

Can anyone see the obviously crooked  conflict of interest besides me...?
