So if Ukraine mobilized 700,000 people and had an army of 300,000, a total of 1,000,000

You can project losses of about 800,000:
- out of which 400,000 would be wounded, maimed, roughly half can return
- 400,000 killed

of HUNDREDS of miles of trenches, bunkers, tunnels
since 2015.  Response?  Russia began industrial warfare
capacity....MILLIONS of "arty" rounds were/are produced.
