The embarrassingly expensive *** is a glitchy ****.
Overly technical, untested, often grounded, ongoing malfunctions.
AKA....typical MIC money pit.

Seems a pilot was having issues with the bitch while in auto-pilot

We’re working with @MCASBeaufortSC to locate an F-35 that
was involved in a mishap this afternoon. The pilot ejected safely.
If you have any information that may help our recovery teams locate the F-35,

A U.S. fighter jet’s stealth abilities appear to be working too well, with authorities forced to ask the public for help finding an F-35 that went missing somewhere over South Carolina when the pilot ejected because of a “mishap.”

Joint Base Charleston, an air base in North Charleston, said it was working with Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort to "locate an F-35 that was involved in a mishap" Sunday afternoon.

——-

It’s a stealth fighter, the kind radar can’t detect.

this happens all the time. congress pays for trillions of dollars of war equipment that was never built. then the paper work shuffle. a year later the ghost items were declared scrapped. and congress gets more under the table hush money.

No.  For the reason of the plane is shot down over Russia or China they don’t want the enemy to have flight data.  It’s a war plane.

The plane had it’s squawker (IFF) turned off and was practicing combat operations.

Let’s hope Democrats find it.

Half the Republicans would sell it to Putin.

The plane has several GPS receivers.

It does not have a flight recorder, as a fighter plane.

When the pilot turned off the IFF squawker the plane is invisible to radar.

And of course there’s no locator.  It’s a **** war plane flown by Americans who support NATO and not Putin.  That would tell Putin where to find it.

The aircraft descends from the Lockheed Martin X-35, which in 2001 beat the Boeing X-32 to win the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. Its development is principally funded by the United States, with additional funding from program partner countries from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and close U.S. allies, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Italy, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, and formerly Turkey.[5][6][7] Several other countries have also ordered, or are considering ordering, the aircraft. The program has drawn much scrutiny and criticism for its unprecedented size, complexity, ballooning costs, and much-delayed deliveries.[8][N 1] The acquisition strategy of concurrent production of the aircraft while it was still in development and testing led to expensive design changes and retrofits.[10][11]

The F-35 first flew in 2006 and entered service with the U.S. Marine Corps F-35B in July 2015, followed by the U.S. Air Force F-35A in August 2016 and the U.S. Navy F-35C in February 2019.[1][2][3] The aircraft was first used in combat in 2018 by the Israeli Air Force.[12] The U.S. plans to buy 2,456 F-35s through 2044, which will represent the bulk of the crewed tactical aviation of the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps for several decades; the aircraft is planned to be a cornerstone of NATO and U.S.-allied air power and to operate until 2070.[13][14]

Although the F-35 is the most sophisticated and capable multi role war plane ever made someday an enemy will shoot one down.

Just one piece of wing, would fetch a fortune from Vladimir Putin.

Let’s hope some Trumptard doesn’t find this one.

I’ve lived to see about half the Republican Party supporting Putin over NATO.

And when we lose an F-35 to Russia or China the worthless **** Republicans will blame America first, as they always do.

If you can’t get a jab in your arm, dying for others is out of the question.
