Stupid banks need to be allowed to fail. I'm not sure what the issue is. If the bank didn't break any banking regulations, it just made a stupid investment decision. Heck, lots of people and companies do that every day.

But all mistakes by people aren't bailed out by the tax payers like that bank was. What a sweetheart deal eh.

The bank should have been allowed to fail.  Let the FDIC deal with the fallout.  Yes, I agree.  However, either way, the taxpayers will be dealing with the fallout.

you keep suggesting that and I know it never happened. you will not be honest as to why you exist, your social truth is hyperbole at best, complete insanity worse case scenario.

I lean to the latter. Insane people only defend who they pretend to become after birth.

When I saw the title of this thread my bain took it to be parallel to beauty is only skin deep. Ugly goes to the bone. Stupid comes from inside out, not outside in.

Clearly, he made a stupid investment decision.  But, why would you think he should admit to ANYTHING when being questioned by members of Congress?
