(CNN) — A Volusia County, Florida, man was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly shooting and killing his neighbor’s 42-year-old son who had been trimming tree limbs along his fence line Sunday evening, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Edward Druzolowski, 78, confronted Brian Ford about being on his property before threatening to shoot him, the VSO said in the post. When Ford refused to leave, Druzolowski shot the man, who died despite life-saving measures by the first two deputies on the scene.

My father very rarely got angry with me.
One of the few times I remember him, was whenever the government commodities van came to town, he’d pull the car over and tell me he could never be buried deep enough in Plum Grove he’d not come back and whip me almost to death, if I ever made fun of people less fortunate than to inherit a nice farm like he did, and I was going to someday if he could keep it.
Once he made me go look at all the canned goods inside the commodities van, just so I’d never forget, when Mama cooked us a meal from the best food from Overshiner’s.
I owe my parents a debt I can never repay.

The 78 year old shooter Edward Druzolowski claims the alleged victim Brian Ford 42 crossed onto his Property while trimming trees on his Mother's adjacent Property...
Druzolowski didn't want him on his Property at all --- which I assume is his right ... His reason for carrying a gun was because he was aware Ford was a violent criminal, who'd done jail time... He claims Ford approached him aggressively and made verbal threats... It will be up to Druzolowski to prove such threats were made, and that he was in legitimate danger of physical harm...
On the surface, and especially the way the Media is portraying the story, we should believe it was not a justified case of self-defense.. The Police also seem to be pronouncing guilt, when we've yet to learn all the facts... I reserve my judgement until then, but I will afford the benefit of the doubt to Druzolowski, who was by all indications a law abiding citizen --- whereas Ford had been arrested a dozen time for a variety of crimes ----INCLUDING THREE TIMES FOR BATTERY ON SOMEONE 65 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER....
