Is anyone else sick and tired of reading @Bruce's  rare accounts of when someone misuses a firearm?  I for one am.  There are countless instances where law abiding citizens use firearms to protect themselves and their loved ones.  Every month, the NRA reports a handful of them.  Here's a tiny sampling:
  • Three or four armed intruders kicked in a door of a residence and forced a woman to the floor at gunpoint while they burglarized her home. Another resident heard the commotion from a bedroom, grabbed a “long gun,” and exchanged fire with the intruders, forcing them to flee, police said.
  • A driver recognized a wanted murder suspect walking along a rural road and held him at gunpoint until police arrived. A U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and local police had been on a four-day manhunt for the suspect, who is alleged to have shot to death his girlfriend and her teenage son.
  • A man used his AR-15 to defend himself against two armed, masked gunmen who approached his home, threatened the three residents, and demanded money. At one point, a robber pointed his gun at a resident’s head, which appears to have sparked a shootout, police said. Two residents were injured in the ensuing firefight, but the assailants fled and the residents were expected to survive.
  • Four armed intruders broke into a residence and assaulted the homeowner, police said. The homeowner was able to grab and shoot his own firearm, killing two attackers and wounding the others, who now face a plethora of felony charges. The homeowner’s 4-year-old daughter was injured in the crossfire, but was expected to make a full recovery.
  • An armed robber walked into a cell phone store and demanded store property at gunpoint from an employee. The employee, a concealed carry permit holder, drew his own handgun and fatally shot the robber, police said.
The main stream media never reports this.  Never.  Anti-gunners and gun-banners like Bruce never discuss this, never reference any of these countless examples. The Police do not protect anyone.  They investigate crimes after the fact. If you want to be safe, YOU WILL go out and buy a gun, learn to use it and become competent with it.  Bruce and Democrats just want everyone to be perpetual victims of violence.  If anyone here believes any **** that Bruce says, you might as well bend over and let him shove his aids-infected cock inside your willing ***.

Ever notice these patterns?  There are at least 3 people here claiming gun ownership, but their other posts are anti-gun.

I caught  @Bruce  post pasting a bunch of gibberish from the Ruger forums on this thread:  https://liberalforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=72633

@Squatchman    .    claims he owns all these guns, but he was vehemently against concealed and constitutional carry in @Imgreatagain  's thread.

@maineman   says he owns all these guns, but refuses to post one pic.  I challenged him in this thread:  viewtopic.php?f=5&t=75057

There are liberals who write these retarded blogs all over the internet.  The blogger poses as someone who grew up on farm.  The bumpkin later moves to the big city.  When the bumpkin's friend dies in big city violence, the bumpkin gets an epiphany about the horror of guns.  It's a fake template story where libs just change the names and places.  The blog always concludes with:  Yes, I still love firearms for hunting, but we need common sense gun legislation.

Welcome to the real world.. suppose there are 1000 instances of anything but 5 were the outlier (non-justified).. the world is going to focus on those 5. Most pro athletes (nhl, mlb, nba, and nfl combined) do not commit crimes and get convicted.. but we focus on the few that do.

I've had enough written discourse with Squatchman to believe he owns guns.  The others, not so much, especially Bruce. I can get a pretty good feel for whether someone actually has and shoots guns after a little "gun talk" with them. That's just my opinion.

  Ummm...
No.
  Not  against  concealed carry.
I do it every day. And do it well with a pretty large gun.
Not vehemently against constitutional carry.  I just believe it's stupid to let any moron carry a hand gun without proper training.
As for those other guys they might not own black guns like some of us but I don't doubt they have a firearm or two.

It's hard to be an American and not own a firearm or two.  More than half of adult America owns firearms. Bruce is a total Fudd, if he's ever owned even one firearm.  Also, he really doesn't seem to know much about firearms. I make no comment on Maineman - don't really know, haven't talked guns with him.

I grew up with guns in one hundred per cent of homes, but the only people who considered their guns god protection were scared old widows.

I never saw a handgun until I was twelve and my cousin who became a policeman showed me his.

I can’t even count all my guns.

But someday this nation will appoint enough liberal justices to overturn Heller and reinstate Roe vs Wade.

The Republican Party of my youth is dead and buried.

I was a Reagan Republican.

These new ones are either evil or stupid.

The evil ones lead the stupid ones to cheer when a gun is misused on black or brown people.

Gun owners someday will pay for it.

    Why not?
I can tell you how many I own and the amount of ammo for every one I own off the top of my head.
Serial numbers ancd pictures in a fireproof box for insurance purposes.
That statement tells me you don't have a one.

Until recent years my buying old guns  was a hobby.

Today I feel like a low life, piece of ****, stupid, Putin loving Trumpy when I open my safes.

The only reason Trumpies like guns is as weapons to kill other people.  That is the only defense they have for owning guns.

If I could live my life over I’d have only a few.

You are an expert at typecasting other ancestries other than your own stereotypical behavior, what is missing from your one sided opinion? Understanding the evolving process inside out.

Please, what is the real world in your mind? Heart? Body? Sole time occupying space here?
Don't use social consensus either.

There countless, COUNTLESS, examples of unreported de-escalations and downright defense events out there.
Why would you report that something did NOT happen?

Trump supporters don't own  guns just to kill people.
They have ones for self and home defense. Same as me. High power, high capacity. They also have guns for hunting.
Nothing wrong with having a few around when you need one. You should be able to bring to the party the same gun or better than what a bad person has.

I am sure this is true.  Even so, some of those are bound to be "gray-area" cases.  In other words, possibly brandishing when deadly force would not be justified.  So, I choose not to get into those because they are case-by case, little reported facts, and mostly just idle speculation as to whether the gun was deployed correctly or not.

The cases I mention are clear good shoots.  Not just de-escalation, but shooting a gun at a person or people for self defense. Yes, this is the more extreme case, but it also demonstrates that there are countless numbers of "good shoots" compared to the couple of sketchy ones Bruce jumps on.

I grew up reading Elmer Kieth.

Yes, there was an incidental self defense justification to buy dozens and dozens of old classics for a few hundred dollars each.

Mostly it was buying the toys I could not afford as a kid.

The worthless piece of **** right wingers have made Christianity have a bad name.

And supporting law enforcement a bad name.

Being a Republican a bad name.

And now all firearms.

Of you told somebody you grew up a gun loving Christian Republican conservative who supported law enforcement and had too many guns to count you could never in a million years convince decent people you were not some idiot who loved Trump.

You keep pretending you own the power of suggestion that converts ancestral brains into social characters obedient to possibilities rather than navigate around what isn't possible civilly..

Yeah, Elmer Keith is the quintessential "Fudd". But, kudos to you for knowing who Elmer Keith is.  As I am sure most gun folks know, a Fudd (Elmer Fudd) is someone who professes to be for Americans owning double-barrel shot guns, but have a long litany of guns they don't want their fellow Americans to own.  They want THEIR GUN, but will allow leftists to take all other guns that are not THEIR GUN of choice.  Elmer Keith was the human embodiment of Elmer Fudd.
Yes, there was an incidental self defense justification to buy dozens and dozens of old classics for a few hundred dollars each.

That statement makes no sense for multiple reasons.  There is no "self-defense" justification to buy dozens and dozens of old classic, cheap-*** guns.  Truth be told, you only need one handgun for self defense. But, I remind you, gun ownership is not based on "need" it is based on a guaranteed right.
Mostly it was buying the toys I could not afford as a kid.

There's nothing wrong with that.  I've done that with guns, knives, watches, vintage stereo equipment, cars and motorcycles. You're not a man if I don't love some toys!!!
The worthless piece of **** right wingers have made Christianity have a bad name.
STFU!  You have no basis for saying that.  Because we don't support abortion on demand?  Or, because we believe in self-determination, self-reliance, self-defense and personal responsibility?  Lay it out, brother, let's see what you have to support your stupid claim.
Being a Republican a bad name.
Proud, life-long republican here saying F-you to you and the rest of the sissy-pants Democrats.

I do not own a firearm but will so in the near future. However, I make no claim to being an expert on them. From a purely technical, engineering standpoint I find some interesting especially the really odd-ball ones but I have nothing insightful to say about them.

You get my point though.
Lots of "good" gun stories vs the "bad" gun.

I just think of all the naive people that suck up Good Morning America ****.
Well-meaning people aren't getting anything fed to them that's well-meaning anymore.
