That mother **** is responsible for appointing the judges who overturned Roe vs Wade.Skans » 22 Sep 2023, 10:15 am » wrote: ↑ Trump said “What’s going to happen is you’re going to come up with a number of weeks or months, you’re going to come up with a number that’s going to make people happy."
Quite frankly, I'm glad to see Trump moderate on abortion. Abortion is the only thing really scaring the "children" into activist groups that are supporting hard-core socialists and communists. I have always said that women should have the legal right to end a pregnancy within something like the first 8 weeks of their pregnancy. Trump is open to passing a law that would confirm this.
Where abortion went off the rails is where Democrats were 1) funding an organization that was selling baby parts; 2) were advocating for abortions up to the time of birth, and 3) were advocating for partial-birth abortions. This **** is repulsive and repugnant to everyone. Not needed, except for the baby-parts selling industry.
So, there it is - Trump has distinguished himself from DeSantis. And, the nation will be more behind Trump than DeSantis for it.
The Roe v. Wade decision was pure crap. Everyone knows it and the Supreme Court was right in striking it down. Now, Trump is proposing something similar to the same trimester analysis used in Roe, but you have the audacity to claim he would "hang the mothers for murder if he possibly could".Bruce » 22 Sep 2023, 10:19 am » wrote: ↑ That mother **** is responsible for appointing the judges who overturned Roe vs Wade.
He’s only sorry it’s not popular.

When I was a conservative Republican we used to scheme ways to get welfare mothers to have abortions.Skans » 22 Sep 2023, 10:27 am » wrote: ↑ The Roe v. Wade decision was pure crap. What I see here, Bruce, is that Trump's moderation on abortion angers you, scares you in fact. So, what I have learned here, Bruce, is that abortion is not a front-and-center issue for you at all. There must be some other reason you hate Trump and hate the Republicans. Let's see....So, Bruce, what is it - do you just like dirty, old, corrupt politicians like Biden and his ridiculously corrupt administration? Here's your chance, just tell us what singular political issue drives you to champion a Joe Biden over a Donald Trump? My singular issue for supporting trump is Gun Owner's rights, even though I know Trump was responsible for banning bump stocks. There you have it. I'm not afraid to tell you what drives me politically to vote for one candidate over another.
- You claim to be a gun guy, so it can't be our stance on guns and the 2nd Amendment.
- Trump wants an abortion law that is essentially the same thing as Roe - so that can't be a real issue for you any longer
- Trump's economy was vastly better than Bidenomics - that can't even be debated.
Complete deflection so as not to address what I said to you.Bruce » 22 Sep 2023, 10:48 am » wrote: ↑ When I was a conservative Republican we used to scheme ways to get welfare mothers to have abortions.
For forty years the Republican Party has catered to far right wing evangelical con artists impersonating Christians. They have fabricated from the whole cloth biblical opposition to early term abortions.
And they’ve made saying you are a Christian into something vile, intolerant, ignorant, stupid, and superstitious.,

Republicans won't attract any Dems. But, Dems can't attract Republicans either. Its all about the "in the middle" independents. That's where I think Trump getting out in front of this issue makes a difference.jerrab » 22 Sep 2023, 11:16 am » wrote: ↑ you have a point there. taking out the 6 week rule will attract more votes. however I doubt dems will vote for trump for different reasons.

I mostly agree with you. Just not on late term abortions. Aborting a child in months 6-9 should not be allowed.sootedupCyndi » 22 Sep 2023, 12:19 pm » wrote: ↑ I think republican folks-Should chill on this issue!
Pick something out reasonable... for a date. And late term- patient and doctors decide!
and shat up.
Because if they don't -It excites the liberals and the sheeples..and the womens....
And if they don't seem more reasonable- We will lose our country because of this stupid issue! it works them all up into a frenzy.
so everyone will have the right to an abortion- But don't you dare talk or speak out- You will lose the right to free speech.
keep pissing off the low IQ's- and if they win- we are Toast!
the future of us all ---- depends on this.

You could be right about that. But, not enough Democrats would switch and vote Republican. The Republican candidate needs to fight for the middle independents - there's a lot more votes to pick up there than from a die-hard anti-Trump (most are also anti-Republican) Democrat.jerrab » 22 Sep 2023, 12:22 pm » wrote: ↑ some dems may be sick of biden's transgender policies and would vote for a republican with a moderate abortion stance but not trump.

But, do you kill it because its gross? Or, allow it to be born and then die naturally. I suppose there will always be that one medical situation that poses an ethical/legal dilemma. I don't have all the answers. Really, no one ever will, and I believe we aren't supposed to.sootedupCyndi » 22 Sep 2023, 12:26 pm » wrote: ↑ I agree with that!
unless it was a dire circumstance
on some rare occasions it is.
I've seen some pretty gross stuff.. like a deformed fetus with one eye! no legs- it does happen. rare.
I don't know the answer to that Skans- I really don'tSkans » 22 Sep 2023, 12:36 pm » wrote: ↑ But, do you kill it because its gross? Or, allow it to be born and then die naturally. But, I do know that what's best for the nation is to provide some short window for women to terminate pregnancies. Then, they can take their decision to kill God's creation up with God at a later date. It's not my place to condemn nor forgive. Maybe Jesus will take pity on their souls.
