My first computer was on dial-up.  I didn't realize just how slow it was. I thought something was wrong so I kept opening other sites and it just locked up and I had to shut it down and start over.

Dial-up was not much better than a hollow log...and I could have gotten a hollow log cheaper.   lol

Me too. The pictures loaded real slow.
And phone calls couldn't come in if a person was on it.

I stopped trusting the news in 1968. I was changing between 16 and 17 years old that revolution around the star.

the hard drive was 512K

you had to know basic computer language to use it

I get it out every once in awhile to show the Gkids

and see if I remember how to get around on it

even on the mono Crome screen it had a decent golf game

early 80s

i thought I was hot ****

My first computer was a HP and I think it was 512k too.

My current computer was free.  Dell Optiplex 7010.

A friend of mine is a retired math teacher from our local college, U of M. While he was still there they started a new dept and bought a bunch of these computers.

Then they cancelled the new dept and were planning on sending all those new computers to Japan to be shredded. What a waste!

So my buddy said **** that and he grabbed 5 of them and took them home. He gave me and another friend a brand new computer. I love it.    :)

I had one of these, 64k memory with a taperecorder as a hard drive and a tv as monitor.. it looks like something out of the stone age now but it was fun, those videogames were really addictive..
