“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was off the air last week. What fans didn’t know was why.

Mr. Kimmel revealed on Monday’s show that his wife had given birth to a son, who, within hours of delivery, was found to have severe heart defects.

He needed emergency surgery, leading to a torturous series of events — then, ultimately, a happy ending.

Mr. Kimmel shared the experience in an emotional opening monologue.

Mr. Kimmel eventually turned toward politics, decrying the idea that anyone should be denied access to health insurance and to coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, about which President Trump has been unclear.

Many people are concerned about the loss of such coverage, and Mr. Kimmel captured their fears:

“We were brought up to believe that we live in the greatest country in the world, but until a few years ago, millions and millions of us had no access to health insurance at all.

Before 2014, if you were born with congenital heart disease like my son was, there was a good chance you’d never be able to get health insurance because you had a pre-existing condition.

You were born with a pre-existing condition.

And if your parents didn’t have medical insurance, you might not live long enough to even get denied because of a pre-existing condition.

If your baby is going to die, and it doesn’t have to, it shouldn’t matter how much money you make.

I think that’s something that, whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat or something else, we all agree on that, right?”

I'm not as sure as Jimmy Kimmel that we all agree on that.

Speaking to the posters commentary it misses the mark as most leftist comments do. It is not a matter of not wanting to allow others HC as the parroted talking point goes. It is a matter of how to do it.

There is so much wrong in that post, I don't know where to start.
Clinton did not give a 'press conference.'
She was speaking to Christiane Amanpour at a Women for Women event in New York.

I don't know what you mean about her blaming 'comedy.'
I can only assume you meant Comey.

You say the 'Russian links' did not gain steam until after the election, but it was known well before the election that the Russians were behind the email leaks.

That said, when I saw her on TV my husband and I looked at each other and almost simultaneously said, "Why doesn't she just go away?"

What else would you expect to see on FOX News?
Criticism of 45?
Actually there was no regular briefing today.
Spicer left the briefing without taking a single question.

They sent out Mick Mulvaney to slam Senate Democrats because 45 was having a hissy fit that Dems were touting the budget deal as a win for them.

And a lot more accurately than you did apparently.

If you think that you are getting the full story on FOX News, then you are deluding yourself.
The amount of issues that they do not cover is astounding.

Talk about deceptive posting.

Actuall, you should watch FOX more often. You won't look like a fool making comments like your criticism comment. So if you don't watch them how do you know what is said?

Next, if you don't watch them how do you know what is covered? Now there is lol moment.

I'm a news junkie.
I watch everything, which is how I know that FOX News sometimes ignores stories that are unfavorable to a Republican president, or Republicans in general.
They fill a lot of their time with crime stories, which are usually only covered on local news.

I don't watch the opinion shows very often, but I do record and watch Shep Smith, Bret Baier and Chris Wallace on Sunday to name a few.

President Manchild had another one of hissy fits today, so he sent his budget director Mick Mulvaney out to scold the press.
White House Scrambles To Rebrand Spending Bill As Trump 'Win'

The Trump administration is doing damage control as Congress inches toward passage of a massive spending deal that ducks the president's most contentious demands.

Less than 48 hours after the funding bill’s release, White House budget chief Mick Mulvaney is forcefully working to reverse the narrative that Democrats emerged as clear victors, and President Donald Trump is touting the legislation as delivering on his core campaign promises.

“They’re walking around trying to make it like they pulled one over fast on the president, and I just won’t stand for it,” Mulvaney said Tuesday afternoon during the daily White House press conference.

The budget director’s appearance at the White House media briefing marked his third check-in with reporters since Monday evening — a press blitz seemingly spurred by an angry president.

According to one person familiar with Trump’s thinking, the president was furious Tuesday morning with news coverage about the spending deal and "the idea he looked like the loser.”

Mulvaney was asked to do a last-minute media briefing Tuesday morning, after holding a call with reporters Monday night, and to clear his schedule for the 1:30 p.m. press conference, a White House official said.
They can blame Democrats all they want but a lot of Republicans also saw it as a win for Dems.

Senator Lindsey Graham said, "I think the Democrats cleaned our clock."

Charles Krauthammer said, " Trump got rolled. The Republicans got rolled. They ended up with nothing really. It's sort of embarrassing."

And the drug addled gasbag, Rush Limbaugh said, "Why is anyone voting Republican if this is what happens when we win?"

OUCH!

How about what this democrat has to say about the Sharia Law advocate that was an organizer at the leftist DC women's march?

I'm having a tough time getting a leftist to speak out against Linda Sarsour and her roll in leftwing politics in the USA.

I have criticized Dems over the years.
But I guess that doesn't count, because they weren't the ones that you wanted me to criticize.

I'm guessing that when you said that I should 'defend my hero' you were talking about HRC?
It's funny that you said that right after I said that I wish she would just go away, or words to that effect.

If she were my 'hero' why would I want her to go away?
And why would I have been so ambivalent about voting for her?

I really don't understand your point anyway.
Have I ever pretended to be anything other than a Liberal or said that I am impartial?

I think anyone who spends any time reading my posts knows exactly where I stand.

As soon as Yoest was hired she began to scrub her website.
But thanks to The Memory Hole some of her extreme, false and just plain crazy content was captured.

She scrubbed lots of rabidly LGBTQ-phobic posts.
And things like, 'half of all rape allegations are false' and 'McDonalds funds homosexual activism.'

The second great hire also at HHS is Teresa (Wagner) Manning.

Her job will be to oversee the Title X program, which allocates nearly $300 million per year in family planning funds to providers across the country and shapes policy and regulation about topics like contraception and teen pregnancy.

The problem is that Manning doesn't really believe that contraceptives are effective in preventing pregnancy or cutting down the number of abortions.
She says that there really is no evidence to support that.

And she does not think that the government should play a role in family planning.

One has to wonder why the heck an opponent of birth control would take a job to oversee the nation's only federal program dedicated to family planning.
In an interview with NPR in 2003 Manning said “contraception doesn’t work” and that women taking the pill will eventually get pregnant.

Of course that's not true.
When taken correctly the pill is up to 99.9% effective.

You assume perfection in the medication and no mess ups taking it. That is not reality foolish one. People forget to get a prescription refilled due to things occurring in their private lives and something can happen to the medication. I take it you live a perfect life with no occurances like that.

The real issue to most people is what is the fetus? Using the word fetus sanitizes the language to reality. The fetus is a living human being requiring the attachment to the mother to live until birth. In many states if a pregnant woman is attacked causing the woman to lose the baby the person can be charged with some form of murder. That implies the unborn baby is a person with rights. At what point does the inconvenience of the mother override the baby's rights? A disgusting type of abortion is partial birth abortion. A breech birth is forced and when only the head is still in the vagina the birth is stopped and auction tube is injected into the brain and the brain is suckered out. The majority of the baby is born and then murdered!!! Obviously Misty is in favor of this!!!
