Republican candidate 'body-slams' Guardian reporter in Montana

The Republican candidate for Montana’s congressional seat has been charged with assault after he is alleged to have slammed a Guardian reporter to the floor on the eve of the state’s special election, breaking his glasses and shouting, “Get the hell out of here.”

Ben Jacobs, a Guardian political reporter, was asking Greg Gianforte, a tech millionaire running for the seat vacated by Ryan Zinke, about the Republican healthcare plan when the candidate allegedly “body-slammed” the reporter.

Trump revealed submarine locations to Philippines president.

A call transcript between President Trump and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte reveals that Trump boasted about two U.S. nuclear submarines near North Korea.

Trump, who spoke by phone with Duterte on April 29, addressed the possibility of a strike on North Korea using the submarines.

A transcript of the conversation was published by The Intercept.

“We have a lot of firepower over there,” Trump said in the transcript, an official document of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs.

“We have two submarines — the best in the world — we have two nuclear submarines — not that we want to use them at all,” Trump continues.

“I’ve never seen anything like they are but we don’t have to use this but he could be crazy so we will see what happens.”

The Defense Department historically does not reveal the locations of its submarines, since keeping the vessels’ movements secret is key to their missions.

Other members of the traveling Trump team who are not practicing Catholics said they gave up their spots to accommodate Catholic White House aides.

But Spicer – a regular churchgoer who was mocked last year for appearing on CNN with ashes on his forehead in honor of Ash Wednesday – was notably absent.

On Wednesday, The Washington Post published claims by the murdered 27-year-old's family that Dotcom tried to hack into his emails to plant evidence to back up his false claim.

The alleged attempt came by way of a request sent to Rich's gmail account from the email address welcome@mega.nz.

Mega is the New Zealand-based cloud storage company that Dotcom used to work for and resigned from in 2013.

Rich's father, who has been monitoring his email account since his death, believes the invitation was an attempt to hack into the account and the family has consulted specialists.

Kim Dotcom extradition to US can go ahead, New Zealand high court rules.

The high court in New Zealand has ruled Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom can be extradited to the United States to face a multitude of charges including money laundering and copyright breaches.

US authorities had appealed for Dotcom’s extradition to face 13 charges including allegations of conspiracy to commit racketeering, copyright infringement, money laundering and wire fraud.

The German national, who has permanent residency in New Zealand, faces up to 20 years in jail if convicted in the US of piracy, which authorities say cost copyright owners hundreds of millions of dollars.

The documents show it was back in 2011 when the FISA court first found NSA's procedures to be 'stautorially and Constitutionally deficient with respect to their protection of U.S. person information.'

Five years later, two weeks before election day, the judges learned that NSA had never adequately enacted the changes it had promised to make.

'The NSA inspector general and its office of compliance for operations [have been] conducting other reviews covering different time periods, with preliminary results suggesting that the problem was widespread during all periods of review.'
