Rachel Maddow: Someone ‘Is Shopping Carefully Forged Documents’ to Try to Discredit News Outlets

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow teased a huge story tonight…and it appears that she delivered on it right at the top of her program.

Pointing out that she has a website to send tips and documents, she revealed that she was sent a document that appeared to be so classified that it was almost impossible to validate due to its classification level.

“People who are in a position to recognize or authenticate this kind of document, people who have worked with things at this level of classification,” she noted.

“They typically will refuse to look at a document like this if there’s any chance it is real, that it is real classified information that has been disclosed.”

She then noted that she and her research team feel they’ve uncovered an even bigger story than what is in the documents they were sent, which she described as having politically explosive implications.

“We believe now that the real story we have stumbled upon here is that somebody out there is shopping carefully forged documents to try to discredit news agencies reporting on the Russian attack on our election,” Maddow declared.

“And specifically on the possibility that the Trump campaign coordinated with the Russians in mounting that attack.”

Maddow went on to detail how the documents she received appears to be a “cut and paste forgery” of the NSA documents given to The Intercept by Reality Winner.

She noted that this was an “inside-out scoop” and that outlets need to be aware that there’s a very convincing document floating around implying someone in the Trump campaign directly colluded with Russia.

Julius Caesar's head was not cut off. He was stabbed.

Also, you seem to ignore the fact that the assassination of Caesar in the play comes off as a despicable act with disastrous consequences.
Shakespeare's whole point was that violence is never an appropriate response.
The power vacuum created by Caesar’s assassination sparks a riot by the people and ultimately leads to a civil war.
Brutus and Cassius lose, and ultimately kill themselves.

I don't know anyone who said that was in good taste.
And she paid a price for it.
She was fired from CNN's New Year's Eve show, and it will likely hurt her stand up career very badly.
