President Trump's approval rating dropped 5 percentage points in August to a new low of 32%, according to the latest IBD/TIPP Poll, with 59% saying they disapprove of the job he's doing as president.

Trump lost significant support across the board, but saw big declines among areas of core support, including Republicans, Midwesterners, middle-income families, white men and the high-school educated.

In terms of income, Trump lost the most support from those with household incomes between $30,000 and $50,000. Among this group, Trump's approval rating dropped from 40% in July to 27% in August.

Trump's support among white men — the one demographic group who approved of Trump — dropped from 51% in July to 44% in August.

It is President Trump‘s 200th day in office, and according to a new poll from CNN, the numbers are still not getting better for the administration.

The new poll says that only 38% of Americans approve of the Trump Administration’s performance so far, while 56% say they disapprove.

This is broken down further by indicators that only 24% of people strongly approve of Trump, 14% moderately approve, 9% moderately disapprove, and a whopping 47% strongly disapprove.

The poll also asked contributors about whether they think the White House tells the truth.

The findings indicate that only 24% of Americans can say they trust the Trump Administration, while 73% believe the White House is partially, if not, completely untruthful.

The poll also notes that there’s been a 14% decrease in Republicans who strongly support the president.

If the Democrats and Republicans were engaged in a real war – what they're all doing now is just political combat of the messiest kind – West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice's defection to the GOP after just a few months in office might be a signal it's time to sue for peace.


"Today, I will tell you, with lots of prayers and lots of thinking, I can't help you anymore being a Democrat governor," Justice said last week at a rally with President Donald Trump in Huntington. "So tomorrow, I will be changing my registration to Republican."


Say what you want, governors don't change parties every day. The last to do it was Lincoln Chaffee, the governor of Rhode Island, who had been elected as an independent but joined the Democrats midway through his single term in office as a prelude to an all-too-brief flirtation with his new party's 2016 presidential nomination. Before that is was Buddy Roemer who, as governor of Louisiana, joined the GOP back when George Herbert Walker Bush was president.


Justice's decision to join in the GOP while chief executive of a state the Democrats as recently as 10 years ago owned from top to bottom is a huge, Las Vegas strip-style neon sign telling the Democrats they're in more trouble than they know.

With Justice, the number of Republican governors is up to 34, the highest in history. The number of states where the GOP has control of the governorship and the state legislature is up to 26, including Nebraska where the legislature, while unicameral and officially non-partisan, is dominated by registered Republicans. By comparison there are just six states – California, Oregon, Rhode Island, Delaware, Hawaii and Connecticut – where the Democrats are in charge (and the clock is running on a few of those).


There are lots of reasons the partisan division has become so lopsided in favor of the GOP. The Democrats and their friends in the government departments of elite universities and on the editorial desk at the New York Times will say it's because the legislative district maps are drawn unfairly, because the votes of non-whites are suppressed in the South and in rural areas, and just about any other excuse they can think of to suggest the Republicans are cheating. In truth, the voters just aren't buying any more what the Democrats have to sell....


The realignment GOP strategists have anticipated since 1980 is at hand. All the Republicans have to do to become the permanent majority is to deliver on what they promised, continue to grow their vote, and prove the disparate wings of the party – the economic conservatives, the social conservatives, the Trump voters, the Reagan Democrats and those who join the party because they are born into it because … Lincoln – can work together to get things done.

The operation perpetuated voter fraud because some of the false identities and addresses were used to vote in Boston.

But the Democrats say that voter fraud is just a myth! Why? Because without illegal aliens and dead people voting, the Democrats would never win another election.

You seem like someone who will be headed into a nursing home soon, if you're not already in one.
So you should be concerned that the Mangled Orange Hellbeast is stripping nursing home residents and their families of the right to take facilities to court over alleged abuse, neglect or sexual assault.

And he's only doing it because it was a rule that Obama put into effect and he's bound and determined to roll back everything that Obama did, because he's a vindictive son of a bitch who never got over the way that Obama shredded him at the WH Correspondent's dinner in 2011.

I've cited sources showing how the DNC official worked hand in hand with the HRC campaign.

A Ukrainian American Democratic operative named Alexandra Chalupa began looking into Manafort’s ties to Yanukovych as a part of her volunteer work in 2014, Politico reported.

Chalupa was hired as a consultant to the DNC during the 2016 campaign to help mobilize ethnic communities, including Ukrainian Americans.

She left the DNC in July 2016, the DNC said.

She continued her research into Manafort on her own, and she said she sometimes shared her findings with officials at the DNC and Clinton’s campaign, Politico reported.

Former Clinton campaign officials said they never received information from Chalupa.

The exact role of embassy officials is unclear.

Chalupa told Politico that officials at the Ukrainian Embassy were helpful in providing guidance to her questions, and that the embassy also worked with reporters researching Trump, Manafort and Russia.

A top embassy official denied working with reporters or with Chalupa on issues related to Trump or Manafort, but a former embassy officer said he was instructed to help Chalupa on her research.

DNC officials denied that they coordinated with Chalupa on opposition research.

Chalupa was not a researcher for the DNC, and the DNC did not incorporate her findings about Manafort, Politico reported.

DNC officials told Politico that the Democratic Party had been looking into Trump and his ties to Russia long before Chalupa alerted them.

Chalupa disputed the framing of the Politico story in a Facebook post.

“During the 2016 US election, I was a part time consultant for the DNC running an ethnic engagement program,” Chalupa said in a lengthy statement to CNN.

“I was not an opposition researcher for the DNC, and the DNC never asked me to go to the Ukrainian Embassy to collect information.”

What actually ended up hurting the Trump campaign was information released through an anti-corruption investigation by a Ukrainian government agency, which released ledgers that reportedly showed $12.7 million in cash payments from Yanukovych’s party that were earmarked for Manafort.

Serhiy Leshchenko, a Ukrainian lawmaker and former investigative journalist, publicized these ledgers and criticized Manafort.

Ultimately, reports about these payments led to Manafort stepping down from his position as Trump campaign chairman.

Lawyer Says Trump Has Sent Mueller Private Messages Of ‘Appreciation’

President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer on Tuesday claimed Trump has sent special counsel Robert Mueller, who is overseeing the federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, private messages of “appreciation and greetings.”

John Dowd, one of the lead attorneys on Trump’s outside legal team, told USA Today that Trump “has sent messages back and forth” but declined to clarify.

“He appreciates what Bob Mueller is doing,” Dowd said.

“He asked me to share that with him and that’s what I’ve done.”
