Fields registered as a Republican in Ohio in 2016, so he probably voted for Trump.

In a press conference, the Charlottesville Police Chief, Al Thomas, said the crash was premeditated.

Taylor Lorenz, a reporter for The Hill, said that every witness she interviewed at the police station believed the act was deliberate.
