Trump's golf trip makes it the third day in a row that the President -- who has no public events listed on his schedule Monday, which is Columbus Day -- visits his own property this holiday weekend.

Trump has now spent 72 days as President at one of his own golf properties, according to CNN's count.

In total, Trump has spent 80 days at a property bearing his name -- about 30% of the days he has been President.

This does not count his visits to Mar-a-Lago -- 25 days over seven weekends -- but there is some crossover given his frequent golf visits in South Florida.

Trump has now spent 30 weekends as President at one of his properties.

Donald and Melania Trump reportedly compared life in the White House to being in a Venezuelan jail.

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump met with the wife of an imprisoned Venezuelan opposition leader in February and tried to sympathize with her husband's plight by comparing life in the White House to that inside a Venezuelan prison, The Washington Post reported on Friday.

Lilian Tintori, who is married to the Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez, was at the White House to discuss human rights in Venezuela.

Many view Lopez as a political prisoner sentenced to nearly 14 years in prison in 2015 on trumped-up charges related to a period of deadly antigovernment protests in 2014.

During the visit with Tintori, the president seemed unfamiliar with her and her experiences, The Post reported, though he reportedly knew enough to have "praised her past as a reality television star in Venezuela's version of 'Survivor.'"

The president and the first lady also reportedly tried to commiserate with Tintori through a source of their own discomfort: the White House.

Melania Trump said she sympathized with what Lopez had gone through in jail in Caracas, Venezuela, adding that the White House felt as confining as prison, two people familiar with the meeting told The Post.

Donald Trump reportedly agreed.

President Trump’s decision to suddenly announce a major change in U.S. policy toward Venezuela in February began with an unexpected Oval Office meeting with Lilian Tintori, wife of the country’s most prominent political prisoner.

At the White House to meet Vice President Pence and press the administration to do more about human rights in her home country,

Tintori was whisked in to see Trump, who seemed unfamiliar with her story but praised her past as a reality television star in Venezuela’s version of “Survivor.”

Later, as Tintori made her case during the 40-minute meeting, first lady Melania Trump, who was also in the room, said she sympathized with the conditions Tintori’s husband, Leopoldo ­López, faced in jail back in Caracas because the White House often felt as confining as a prison, according to two people familiar with the meeting, a point on which the president agreed.

Finally, as the meeting ended, the president suggested a group photo, including Pence and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), a Tintori ally who was at the White House for a scheduled dinner with the president.

After a couple of attempts — Trump didn’t like the first photo because he was smiling — the president was pleased enough with the final version, which showed him scowling and giving a thumbs-up sign under a portrait of Andrew Jackson.

He promptly posted the photo on Twitter.

“Venezuela should allow Leopoldo Lopez, a political prisoner & husband of @liliantintori (just met w/@marcorubio) out of prison immediately,” Trump wrote, typing out his tweet right there in the Oval Office.

With that, the president upended years of U.S. policy toward Venezuela and signaled that his administration would take a tougher stance with President Nicolás Maduro’s repressive regime amid a deepening socioeconomic crisis in the South American nation.

Shortly after the initial reports came out that there was a serious incident in Africa involving the elite Green Berets, the Pentagon, unable to control the information flow of the incident, seemed to have panicked and went to the age-old tactic of blaming the troops on the ground in order to distance themselves and more than likely their careers from a possible political and public backlash as to why U.S. Special Forces were not only in Africa but dying in firefights with terrorists as well.

The Pentagon immediately cited the Green Beret teams ‘risk assessment’ paperwork as showing “inconsistencies” and potentially falsified reporting of the actual risk level from armed terrorist groups within the region.

For those that have spent their formative years within the armed services have seen these types of careerist “cover your ***” moves by ranking officers during any incident that may affect their collective career advancement goal of attaining that general’s star.

And the Pentagon seems to be quite comfortable being the drivers of the bus this Green Beret team is about to be thrown under.

The White House is also adding to the Pentagon’s information vacuum as well, with President Donald Trump and his administration having also failed completely to even acknowledge the fact that four American Special Forces soldiers were killed in Niger, Africa.

Even after reports from senior level military officials were saying that the Trump administration’s go to boogeyman, The Islamic State, had a hand in the deaths of these soldiers.

Still nothing.

GOP strategist slams Pence's 'utterly appalling' Colts walkout.

A Republican strategist early Monday slammed Vice President Mike Pence for walking out of an NFL game in Indianapolis after some players kneeled during the national anthem, calling the vice president's behavior "utterly appalling."

"Utterly appalling, wasteful, profligate, disgusting behavior from the vice president," Steve Schmidt, who's also an MSNBC strategist, said on "Morning Joe."

"He ought to be ashamed of himself."

Pence left the Colts game on Sunday after some San Francisco 49ers kneeled during the anthem. He has since been under fire, with many calling his actions a "political stunt."

Reports that the vice president's trip to the game cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars have further sparked criticism.

"It's truly amazing," Schmidt said early Monday.

"So he took Air Force Two, full package of Secret Service from Las Vegas to Indianapolis for a stunt, inconvenienced tens of thousands of Colts fans to, again, use the flag and the anthem as a prop."
