Gloria put the yearbook out there as evidence...now she doesn't want it checked out by experts.

Gloria knows that certain things that she claims will never happen, so she uses it as an excuse to not let experts see the yearbook.

If Gloria wanted to use the yearbook against Moore on national TV then she should be willing to have it examined now. You Misty are making excuses for Gloria.

The WaPo also missed or omitted information on the Moore accusers, but that was unimportant while they were chasing Moore down. Now that will get more attention.

Roy Moore-backing Alabama pastor lied to cover son’s alleged molestation of orphans.

Rev. Bill Atkinson, a pastor who sang for Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore at a recent campaign event, was convicted of obstructing an investigation into whether his son molested children at an orphanage his family owned in Honduras.

Alabama.com reports that Atkinson in 2012 “was found guilty of obstruction and conspiracy for ordering two of his children to destroy a hard drive of a digital video recorder, which held evidence that incriminated” his son, William James “Will” Atkinson IV, of child molestation.

Although Atkinson’s son spent time in a Honduran prison while awaiting trial for alleged child molestation, Alabama.com says that it’s not clear how the case in Honduras was ultimately resolved.

Atkinson’s presence at the Moore event is relevant given the multiple allegations that Moore himself molested teenage girls when he was in his 30s.

Moore was also reportedly banned from a local shopping mall because he regularly preyed on teen girls, and a retired Alabama police officer said recently that she was tasked with keeping an eye on Moore during local high school football games over worries that he would hit on cheerleaders.

Roy Moore co-authored course saying women shouldn't run for office.

Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore co-authored a 2011 study course in which a speaker contended women should not be allowed to run for public office and, if they did, people have a moral obligation not to vote for them, Think Progress reported.

The course, "Law and Government: An Introductory Study Course," was authored by Moore, Doug Phillips, Dr. Joseph C. Morecraft, and Dr. Paul Jehle and is currently available on Amazon.

The study includes a lecture from William O. Einwechter, a teacher elder at Immanuel Free Reformed Church. The lesson, titled "What the Bible Says About Female Magistrates," contends the Bible forbids women from holding elected office.

"She's not a warrior. She's not a judge. She's a woman. Created by God. Glorious in her place and in her conduct and in her role," Einwechter said.

"Nothing is said in scripture that supports the notion that she is qualified or called to be a civil magistrate."

Einwechter ends the lecture with statement saying that Christians cannot vote for a woman, no matter their politics.

The study set was a product of Vision Forum, a Texas-based evangelical group led by Doug Phillips.

Moore was a contributor to Vision's Witherspoon School of Law and Public Policy, a series of courses designed to teach public policy and ethics to its attendees.

"I asked the attorney general whether he was ever instructed by the president to take any action that he believed would hinder the Russia investigation and he declined to answer the question," Rep. Adam Schiff told reporters after the closed-door meeting concluded.

"If the president did not instruct him to take any action that he believed would hinder the Russia investigation, he should say so.

If the president did instruct him to hinder the investigation in any way, in my view, that would be a potentially criminal act and certainly not covered by any privilege," the California lawmaker continued.

There's no doubt that the main purpose of the Republican tax bill, in both its House and Senate forms, is to slash taxes for corporations and the rich while making the rest of the country pay for it.

But Republicans are also stuffing a wish list of right-wing goals into the bill.

One provision of the House legislation that has gotten relatively little media attention has the potential to drastically remake our campaign finance system, and tilt the already unfair playing field even further toward the Republicans.

Ever since 1954, a legislative add-on known as the Johnson Amendment has prevented charities, social welfare organizations and, perhaps most importantly, churches from endorsing candidates.

Such institutions may lose their tax-exempt status if they engage in electioneering.

The House bill would functionally dismantle the Johnson Amendment, thereby opening the door to pastors endorsing candidates from the pulpits and for charities large and small -- even the Red Cross or Salvation Army -- to openly support political candidates or causes in the course of their official charitable work.

House tax plan allows unborn children to have college savings accounts.

The tax-advantaged accounts, called 529s, help people save for future college expenses.

Anyone -- a relative, a friend, or yourself -- can be named as a beneficiary at the time the account is opened.

The House legislation unveiled Thursday would allow unborn children to be named as a beneficiary as well.

It defined an unborn child as a "child in utero" and further as "a member of the species homo sapiens, at any stage of development, who is carried in the womb."

The proposed change was praised by anti-abortion groups.

"A child in the womb is just as human as you or I yet, until now, the U.S. tax code has failed to acknowledge the unborn child -- all while granting tax breaks for those seeking an abortion under the pretense of 'healthcare,'" said Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life, in a statement.

Planned Parenthood, on the other hand, blasted the move, suggesting that defining an unborn child in the tax code would end up restricting access to abortion.

"It is absurd that House Republican leaders would use a tax bill to try to advance their agenda to undermine access to safe, legal abortion," said Dana Singiser, Vice President for Public Policy and Government Affairs at Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
