The White House is gagging Steve Bannon.
They must have something to hide.
Steve Bannon refused to answer questions from the House Intelligence Committee during a closed-door session, even after he was issued a subpoena to testify by the committee on Tuesday, saying that the White House had told him not to.

Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the committee, said during a news conference after the marathon hearing, that Bannon’s lawyer had told the committee that the former Breitbart executive “was willing to answer our questions but under instructions from the White House not to”.

He condemned what he called “a gag order from the White House”.

The former White House aide testified before the committee, but he refused to answer any questions about his time in the transition, in the Trump administration and even after he left the White House.

The hearing was left in recess and the subpoena remains in effect, which means that Bannon could be called back to testify under oath.

Schiff said: “This was the first time we saw a witness refuse to answer the questions under the instructions of the White House or claim that the White House might later invoke privilege.”

Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that Bannon had received a grand jury subpoena last week from the special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election and alleged collusion between Trump’s campaign and Moscow.

The intelligence committee’s chair, Devin Nunes, acknowledged its subpoena to reporters earlier Tuesday.

“Of course I authorized the subpoena,” said the California Republican.

“That’s how the rules work.”

****.

Scarborough isn't and perhaps never has been a conservative.

Kristol gave up true Conservatism many years ago.

Rubin is a Beltway hack and pet conservative kept in a cage for amusement by the corrupt WashPost. She savages Trump for issues she agreed with a couple years ago.

Why do you constantly cite people we hold in contempt, psycho?
Joe Scarborough- Why would any Democrat do Repubiicans' work for them?
This is easy - No DACA - No deal.
Trump wants DACA, but he also wants vital immigration reform, you imbecile.
Bill Kristol - A question for Democratic leaders; why are you trying to cut deals with Donald Trump? In his year in office, has he made a single deal? He insults and denigrates your voters. On DACA and border security, work with Republicans in Congress. Or take the issue to the country.
Great. Let's take Chain Immigration, the Immigration Lottery and border security to voters.
Apparently Kristol is such a hack to choose to ally with Democrats and so freaking stupid as to think Democrats will win on immigration.

Our issues have something like 70% approval.
Jennifer Rubin = agreed. And right now Democrats don't have to give up a thing. R's are in the majority and can keep government open.
Shut up, you Beltway hack.

Democrats grab key Wisconsin Senate seat in Tuesday's (District 10) special election.

Democrats snagged a GOP-leaning state Senate seat in western Wisconsin on Tuesday, buoying progressive hopes that they could ride a wave of victory this fall.

Patty Schachtner, the chief medical examiner for St. Croix County, will take the seat that had been held for 17 years by former Sen. Sheila Harsdorf (R-River Falls).

Harsdorf stepped down in November to take a job as GOP Gov. Scott Walker's agriculture secretary.

The district has not been good to Democrats in the past.

Mitt Romney won the district in 2012 even though he lost the presidential race in Wisconsin and nationally to Barack Obama.

Trump crushed Hillary Clinton in the district in the 2016 presidential election and John McCain almost won the district in 2008, despite Obama's easy statewide victory.

Yes, liberals are enraged, in their ignorance and lunacy.

And they tell endless lies to smear Trump and deny his obvious accomplishments, just like you do.

Even as Trump succeeds in helping the country.

What do Democrats fear most? That Americans will learn they and their hacks in the corrupt liberal MSM were lying about Trump's tax cut.

Aussie Complaints Headed to FBI on Clinton Foundation’s Dealings Down Under
Retired Australian police detective Michael Smith has accumulated startling evidence of millions of dollars mishandled
by Mark Tapscott | Updated 16 Jan 2018 at 6:02 PM
An Australian investigative journalist who is a retired police detective said Tuesday he has been asked to provide the FBI with details about multiple allegations of mishandling millions of dollars contributed to the Clinton Foundation by the Aussie government.

“I have been asked to provide the FBI with further and better particulars about allegations regarding improper donations to the CF funded by Australian taxpayers,” Michael Smith told LifeZette.....

The materials Smith is giving the FBI focus on a 2006 memorandum of understanding between the Australian government and the Clinton Foundation’s Clinton HIV/AIDs Initiative (CHAI). Smith claims the foundation received a “$25M financial advantage dishonestly obtained by deception” as a result of actions by Bill Clinton and Downer, who was then Australia’s minister of foreign affairs.

Smith claims the foundation received a “$25M financial advantage dishonestly obtained by deception.”

Also included in the Smith materials are evidence he believes shows “corrupt October 2006 backdating of false tender advertisements purporting to advertise the availability of a $15 million contract to provide HIV/AIDS services in Papua New Guinea on behalf of the Australian government after an agreement was already in place to pay the Clinton Foundation and/or associates.”

A third complaint concerns what Smith describes as “the $10 million financial advantage dishonestly obtained by deception between April 1, 2008, and Sept. 25, 2008, at Washington, D.C., New York, New York, and Canberra Australia involving an MOU between the Australian government, the “Clinton Climate Initiative,” and the purported “Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute Inc.”

A spokesman for the Clinton Foundation did not respond to LifeZette’s request for comment early Tuesday.

Lesson in elections.
President Republican
Congress Republican
36 states governors and legislatures Republican
6 states Democrat
8 states mixed coming from Democrat

A Democrat leader said the party needed to be more moderate. The base responded with "HELL NO!".
The result is the shown by the elections.

That's really funny.

I guess you don't read many of Clem's posts, or should I say rants.
They read like the Unabomber's manifesto.

Do you agree with Clem that former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough 'isn't and perhaps never has been a conservative?'

Or that the founder and editor of The Weekly Standard, William Kristol 'gave up true Conservatism many years ago?'

He says crap like that and you say that I'm the one who's nuts?

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=812&start=16820#p1036248

Isn't it ironic how the very same Conservatives/Republicans that Clem once had great respect for, he now throws under the bus, because they do not support the person in the WH, who for most of his life was a Liberal Democrat.
