As if one study proves anything, never mind broader questions that weren't addressed.Ever heard of the home schooling movement? Millions of Americans are so disgusted with Government Monopoly Schools that they'd rather teach their own children than allow them to attend them. The graduation rate in most city schools is around 50%. Roughly half of the kids never learn even basic English or math.Just freaking stunning that moonbats like you can see that and conclude it's a success; that it outperforms what private schools can do.Why was the WashDC voucher program so wildly popular? Because parents are stupid?Being utterly clueless is my expectation of you, and you consistently fulfill it."Home schooling movement?" Home schooling has existed as long as civilization. What **** drug have you been using? Speaking of which, I really don't have anything against home schooling. I'd just like to know if it's actually effective or not, but I haven't come across an unbiased study yet. Oh well. Several voucher programs were tried in the NorthEast. Milwaukee and Cleveland are the most widely known, and have both delivered sub-par results. Also, private schools cost more (which speaks volumes about private schools, since they can't even deliver consistently better results with pretty much infinite resources from wealthy families and donors). Actually, the REAL purpose of destroying public schools isn't to "improve" education quality - that has already been established to be a failure; it's a tactic invented by segregationist idiots like yourself to have the privilege to manipulate the system and have wealthy, white parents send their kids into sheltered institutions. So much for the "principles upon which the nation was founded." Edited by Avenger_of_Justice, 09 May 2011 - 01:23 AM.

Things I learned by watching Rachel Maddow. The Republicans are not just content to bust up unions to help them win elections, they are also working feverishly to make it more difficult for people who tend to vote Democratic to vote.In New Hampshire, a Republican lawmaker has introduced legislation that would only let college students vote in their college towns if they or their parents had previously established permanent residency there, even though the The U.S. Supreme Court has affirmed that if you are living somewhere to attend college there, you can vote there. That lawmaker even admitted that college students tend to vote liberal, because you know, 'that's what kids do. They don‘t have life experience and they just vote their feelings.'Another New Hampshire bill would end election day registration, which would disproportionately impact first-time voters and young voters, who are more likely to vote Democratic. In Wisconsin, they are trying to pass a law that says that Student ID's will no longer be an acceptable form of ID to vote.Over in Texas, Governor Rick Perry has put a restrictive new voter ID law into his emergency budget legislation. Of course there's an exemption for people with concealed carry gun permits. Gee, I wonder how they are most likely to vote. (BTW, Perry has also added a little gem into his budget bill that would force women to have ultrasounds if they wanted to be allowed to get an abortion. I wonder what that has to do with solving the budget issue?)Right now, in 2011, Republicans in 32 states are considering adding more onerous ID requirements to make it harder to register and harder to vote, which should combined with their union busting tactics should bring down the number of Democratic voters nicely in time for the 2012 presidential election. The Republicans are not just content to bust up unions to help them win elections,That's because mostly Democrat Special Interests have brought the country to the edge of literal bankruptcy. For example, a huge part of Obama's fraudulent "Stimulus" Plan simply went to states to keep from laying off public workers, which was inevitable at some point. We might as well have burned $800 billion.they are also working feverishly to make it more difficult for people who tend to vote Democratic to vote.Translated into honest English, they're cracking down on Democrats' widespread voter fraud.Things I learned from watching Rachel Maddow.Madcow is pretending that the struggle in Wisconsin is corporations against "the middle class."She's freaking delusional! No, it's taxpayers against highly paid public unions.

The jig is up, bottom feeders.

The insanity from the right is coming too fast and too furious to start a thread every time one of these Republicans says or does something crazy. So I decided to put it all in this one thread.Looks like Harty could use some of those mental health services himself. To the people who live in Harty's district......Keep voting for this senile old bastard. Good job.You said it. Senile. You'd sure like to make it look like that's what Republicans in Congress are about, but that's why you're known as a lying POS that looks for any way you can to drum up lies about the party.

My nephew is a retarted citizen who grew up in group homes and attended special education and work training courses provided by the state of calif. He is employed by Mcdonalds and has worked there for ten years now chopping salads and packaging, five hr.s a day, and has never been sick or late. He is the sweetest person I know on this planet and also one of the happiest. I would like for Mr. Harty the my nephew and see if he would still like him to be shipped off to siberia.

If I had a buck for every one of my OWN derailed campaigns that started circling the drain when, in response to a hitler comparison, I answered, "Well, on THAT point, I think Hitler was right." In my next campaign, when the inevitable hitler comparisons start coming in (All of my campaigns favor jewish pogroms, even for nonpartisan positions), I am going to respond, "No comment."

Why would they even bother? Redistricting is all they need to crush the Democrats beneath their hob-nailed boots. The Republicans somehow managed to sweep the state houses across the nation, even without the shenanigans you're all getting lathered up about. Are the Dems already making excuses for their next obliteration at the hands of the electorate? Pro-active, I guess. Pathetic, undoubtedly. Flying monkeys? More like...gliding monkeys.

Another shameless lying moonbat.Cite them, using a mainstream source. Rotsa ruck.Hey moonbat, that was over a 10 year period or so. Obama's deficit is $1.6 trill this year alone. Not only that, because federal revenues had risen to record levels Clinton's last year in office causing a serious recession, the country needed a tax cut to restore the economy, as it did.And last, the money belongs with the Americans who earned it, not for Beltway politicians to spend. If anyone needs a lesson in economics it should be you. Speaking of which, have you ever taken a class in economics? You should get a refund from your professor if that was the case. By the way, public employees are forbidden by law to take more money via pensions and benefits than they put into the system. The Wisconsin incident is the equivalent of private employees agreeing to set aside part of their paycheck into their 401(k), and then 20 years later the employer or corporate headquarters decides to cancel the 401(k) without giving back the money put into it. The only difference is that in the totalitarian corporate structure, the worker would have little say. Public employee unions are putting up quite a bit of resistance, which is presumably why you have your panties in a wad. Oops, your talking point just flew out the window! If you belong to a union and you don't like them using your dues to fund Democrats, then I suggest that you get yourself a non-union job. No one is forcing you to work somewhere where you have to join a union. You have free chioce.. Okay. I'm done. I made the mistake of thinking that we could have a nice civil discussion. But, as usual, you reverted to character. You guys always do.You're in politics sweetheart, don't get involved if you can't handle the rough and dry truth of things. You have no place here.Secondly, unions are paid by the taxpayers... you 'effing air-headed(sorry had to be just brutally honest with this insult) moron. Government pays the unions. Who do you think pays into the government? So, if my state has public services that are unionized, and these unions are paying into the Democrats, then I am in essence funding politicians and campaigns I have no interest in, against my will.So not only are you overly sensitive to simple metaphorical terms you're also a bimbo. Couple of great things to be. I think you would be better suited entertaining at a "gentlemen club" than caught in any political debate. But let me guess what comes next, "Ooooh... those darn Conservatives breakin' muh f-f-feelins! They're s-s-soooo meeeaaan!" Christ, how many sniveling runts can you have in your ranks? I started out patient with you hoping that maybe Clem just got on your bad side. Now I realize you're just a massive tool.Have fun with this one girly.

Interesting thread, Misty. I admire your handling of the matter. Now.. I ask the members of the right to remember, and the members of the left to observe what creates men like me. These are the times that try men's souls. Thomas PaineIn 1774, America was living under the thumb of BIG government. My way or the highway, so said the King. His loyalist were the worst part of the tyranny. They were the enforcers and the snitches. The tax collectors. It was government here, and government there. They [government]lived in the homes of decent people, they regulated everything, which ultimately translated into money for--the government. Government, government, government. Show me where it's any different now. We have government in every little micro aspect of our lives. And it's always the same we need more tax dollars.Who created this situation? Who BEGS and PLEADS for more government? More tax dollars? Who? Sure aint the right.I see no distinction between the loyalist of 1774, and the liberal of 2011. I see no distinction between King George, and King Hussein. Right now in America there's millions of really pissed off armed people with the screamin' meanies. Their state governments are continuously distancing themselves from the central what?--Government. Who does what? Yield like lap dogs for democracy.News flash. America isn't a democracy. A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine. Thomas Jefferson. The United States is a Republic. But liberals think you can just vote in, and vote out constitutional law. The phuck you can. If a vote doesn't go the way you like it, then take it to the men in black robes. This makes every liberal born an enemy of the state. Because clearly they will stop at nothing to get what they want despite the law of the land. Put your finger in the wind and test sentiments. Demanding we pay taxation for a health care bill no one wanted. For people who don't even bother to fix their own personal issues. Or face prison????? In a time when people can't hold onto their homes, or have a job at all!!! THAT my dear friend, is King George. Given the current situation, I'm rather surprised liberals are stunned at anything. I would think that if they were more aware of their political environment these days, then they might understand why the rest of us have been quietly preparing ourselves for the day we might have a liberal on their knees begging for their lives. In 1775 war fixed 50% of our problems. Dead loyalist fix the other 50%. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure. Thomas JeffersonTHIS video rekindled the colonial spirit. It's been copied and redistributed more than anyone wants to know, but this is the original. It's affect was like that of Thomas Paine's book Common Sense. It's captured the hearts of patriots and inspired us all (on the right). Liberals scoffed, until they realized the magnitude of it. Then they feared it--and us.It's most unfortunate that liberals/progressives have perverted our law, our country, and all we have stood and fought for for so many decades. They have hijacked the democratic process of a written-in-stone republic, and called the land a "democracy". How dare you!? The only mistake the right ever made was letting this happen. Not anymore. Meanwhile.. we've been handed down every rotten label there is. If it isn't Janeane Garofalo, it's Olberman, or NPR , Huffington Post etc.. Liberals couldn't be any dumber if they tried. I wasn't voluntarily made this way. I was pushed, like the millions of people see in those TEA rallies, those militias(that haven't slowed in growth), those angry politicians, those authors who write about liberal loons etc... etc... etc... It took several years to build up to that fateful day in Concord and Lexington, 1775. And when the killing started that day, there was barely a red coat left to tell the King. The British were followed, and hunted like dogs. Tolerance and patience, has turned into hate. I would bet, when the right finally loses all their patience--there won't be one of you left to tell the tale.
