Looky here Clem, 'Liberal' attorney Alan Dershowitz whose opinion on campaign finance violations you love to trot out, may have been a little more involved with Epstein than you know.
A court hearing on whether to unseal sensitive documents involving the alleged sex trafficking of underage girls by Palm Beach multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein — and the possible involvement of his influential friends — will play out in a New York City courtroom next week.

But it may happen behind closed doors, with the news media and public barred — at least in part.

An attorney for lawyer Alan Dershowitz wrote a letter to the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Tuesday, asking whether the media should be excluded from the proceeding because his oral arguments on behalf of his client could contain sensitive information that has been under seal.

The possible involvement of his influential friends?
Like Dershowitz?

So Dershowitz's lawyer will be arguing not to unseal documents in the Epstein case because it may reveal sensitive information about his client?

That's interesting.

Michelle Malkin Receives Standing Ovation at CPAC for Slamming ‘The Ghost of John McCain’

Right-wing pundit Michelle Malkin was met with a standing ovation after ripping “the ghost of John McCain” during her speech today at CPAC — the largest annual conservative gathering.

Malkin focused much of her speech on slamming undocumented immigrants and politicians who defend their right to stay in the U.S.

“Both parties are to blame,” Malkin said of undocumented immigrants. “Yes, I’m looking at you, retired Paul Ryan and yes, I’m looking at you, Mitch McConnell, and yes, I’m looking at you, Bush family.

“I’m looking at you, the ghost of John McCain,” she added — to a thunderous applause from the audience, who shot up out of their seats after the dig at the deceased Arizona senator.
These people are deplorable.

That's as **** stupid as saying that because Epstein likes ice cream, Dershowitz's opinion is invalid.

They're totally, absolutely unrelated.  :

You don't like Dershowitz's opinion about Trump's non-crime, so you attack him personally on the basis of "maybe."

Yet you told years of lies on behalf of a serial rapist / serial felon.

You're a deeply ugly person and a psychopath. :loco:

Dershowitz hung out with Epstein and represented him at trial and is now fighting to keep the press and the public out of a hearing on whether the records should be unsealed.

Jeffrey Epstein just settled a civil case with a woman who claims that Alan Dershowitz was among the people she was forced to have sex with.

Two women, one of whom was underage, have said that Epstein and his partner Ghislaine Maxwell directed them to have sex with Dershowitz and other wealthy powerful men.

Dershowitz is up to his eyeballs in this case.

CPAC has become nothing more than a big Trump rally where grifters like him promote themselves and hawk their books and merchandise.

Principled conservatives who would like to rebuild the conservative movement and want no part of that cult have started a group called #PrinciplesFirst and are holding alternate CPAC meetings all over the country.

In a far-reaching New Yorker exposé titled "The Making of the Fox News White House" published Monday, Jane Mayer dissects the often-incestuous relationship between the Trump White House and Fox News.

In it are numerous highly disturbing claims including the ones that FOX News TRUMP TV sat on the story about Trump’s payoff to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election, and that Trump was given Megyn Kelly's debate questions in advance.

This is what former 'FOX and Friends' co-host Alisyn Camerota had to say.
Alisyn Camerota was a co-host on “Fox & Friends” for years before joining CNN, in 2014.

She says that Fox has solid news reporters, but she became so troubled by the lack of standards on “Fox & Friends” that she wrote a thinly veiled novel, “Amanda Wakes Up,” about the blurring of journalistic lines at a cable morning show.

“ ‘Fox & Friends’ was a fun show, but it was not a news show,” she says.

“It regularly broke the rules of journalism. It was basically Roger’s id on TV.

He’d wake up in the morning with some bee in his bonnet, spout it off to Bill Shine, and Shine would tell us to put it on TV.”

She says that the show’s producers would “cull far-right, crackpot Web sites” for content, and adds, “Never did I hear anyone worry about getting a second source.

The single phrase I heard over and over was ‘This is going to outrage the audience!’ You inflame the viewers so that no one will turn away. Those were the standards.”
The article says that former Fox co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle often prepared for “The Five” by relying on information provided to her by an avid fan: a viewer from Georgia named David Townsend, who had no affiliation either with Fox News or with journalism.
She’d share the day’s planned topics with Townsend, and then he’d e-mail her suggested content.

A former colleague of Guilfoyle’s says, “It was a joke among the production assistants—they were, like, ‘Wait till you hear this!’ She actually got research from him! It was the subject of hilarity.”

Townsend is a frequent contributor to the fringe social-media site Gab, which Wired has called a “haven for the far right.”

(He has promoted the idea that “physically weak men” are “more likely to be socialists,” and has argued that it is not anti-Semitic to observe that “the most powerful political moneybags in American politics are Zionists.”)

The server company that hosts Gab removed it from the Internet temporarily after it was revealed to have posted hate-filled rants by Robert Bowers, the gunman who killed eleven people at a Pittsburgh synagogue, last October.

Still lying that it was a 'personal payment' jackass?

And as for your **** about how even if it was an illegal campaign contribution, it would only require that a fine be paid, there are two ways to violate campaign finance law.
One is civil and one is criminal.

If you commit a civil violation, you pay a fine.
If you commit a criminal violation, you go to jail.

This was not just a matter of an over the limit donation or a reporting error.
Trump and his cohorts entered into a conspiracy to defraud the public in order to influence an election.
That is criminal, not civil.
