We aren't on the verge of a meltdown, unless incompetent politicians pass stupid policy, which thankfully has not happened, except in small doses.
McCain has a strong economic plan, the centerpiece of which so far is to slash corporate tax rates, now among the highest in the world. He was being excessively modest when he said he doesn't know much about Economics, but at least he knows the basics; cutting taxes helps growth, and raising them hurts it.
Both Obama and Hillary are clueless on the subject, claiming their massive tax hikes will make the economy better. That's utter crap, the equivalent of proposing alchemy instead of Chemistry. Not a single school of Economics supports that ridiculous claim.
And the house of cards did indeed come crashing down.QUOTE (MistyBlue @ Mar 21 2008, 05:42 PM)
The Reagan economic policies were wonderful, compared to what Chimpy McFlightSuit has done to the economy.
Keep your heads in the sand wingnuts, because this house of cards is about to come crashing down around us.

They're just doing it out in the open now.Barr: Justice has 'open door' to receiving information on Ukraine from Giuliani
Attorney General William Barr said Monday that the Justice Department has an “open door” to any individuals, including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who have information on issues involving Ukraine, and noted that the agency would “scrutinize” this information.
Barr is investigating corruption and likely criminal activity by a high government Democrat official and/or his son?Misty » 10 Feb 2020 9:05 pm » wrote:Barr: Justice has 'open door' to receiving information on Ukraine from GiulianiAttorney General William Barr said Monday that the Justice Department has an “open door” to any individuals, including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who have information on issues involving Ukraine, and noted that the agency would “scrutinize” this information.

The Justice Department plans to reduce its sentencing recommendation for longtime President Trump confidant Roger Stone, after top officials were apparently blindsided by the seven-to-nine year penalty prosecutors urged a judge to impose, a senior Justice Department official said Tuesday.
In a stunning rebuke of career prosecutors that will surely raise questions about political meddling in the case, a senior Justice Department official said the department “was shocked to see the sentencing recommendation in the Roger Stone case last night.”
“That recommendation is not what had been briefed to the department,” the official said.
“The department finds the recommendation extreme and excessive and disproportionate to Stone’s offenses.
The department will clarify its position later today.”
The statement came hours after President Trump tweeted of the sentence prosecutors recommended, “This is a horrible and very unfair situation.
The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them.
Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!”

You are a LIAR you keep telling this LIE over and over and over and over but it will never make it TRUE. They dont indict presidents or Trump would have been indicted BOTH for what Mueller DOCUMENTED as his 10 acts of obstruction of justice and for the campaign finance felony that Cohen is in PRISON RIGHT NOW partly for doing FOR TRUMP at TRUMPS BIDDING and Trump was NAMED in that indictment OF Cohen.
