The Tea Party in Tennessee is demanding the immediate removal of any mention of slavery as it applies to the Founding Fathers because they want schools clean up their image and teach students the truth about America. Tennessee now wants to join Texas in changing American history as it is presented in textbooks and how it is taught by teachers in school.Multiple Tea Party members, including lead spokesman Hal Rounds, say they want the state legislature to force teachers to teach history in the way they see it. In other words, they want to re-write history to exclude the fact that the Founding Fathers owned slaves, because according to The Memphis Commercial Appeal, the group wants to address an awful lot of made-up criticism about, for instance, the founders intruding on the Indians or having slaves or being hypocrites in one way or another. The group wants to change textbook selection criteria to say that No portrayal of minority experience in the history which actually occurred shall obscure the experience or contributions of the Founding Fathers, or the majority of citizens, including those who reached positions of leadership. Its a fancy way of saying lets take the role of minorities out of our American history textbooks so our past leaders will look good. The Tea Party wants to whitewash American history as if the Founding Fathers were perfect in everything they ever did, which simply isnt true. The Founding Fathers were great men but they had flaws. They owned slaves, they allowed slavery to be legal and yes, they did that despite hypocritically writing that all men are created equal. They also took part in the removal of Native Americans from their homelands, an action that resulted in the deaths of thousands. This information is well documented and acknowledged by professional historians and should not be censored. Students have the right to learn the entire truth about our history and not just the parts that conservatives want them to learn. Hiding knowledge is tantamount to lying and thats what the Tea Party wants our teachers to do.LinkTeabaggers are insane.

Teabaggers are insane. All "teabaggers?" What a blatant freaking lie.I'll bet blind that the story is so biased as to be nearly untrue.Never mind that Tea Party members are highly educated, very knowledgeable about politics and the Constitution and financially successful. And we're going to crush Democrats in November. At which point you'll disappear.

In Guatemala, Former Dictator Is Told to Appear in CourtA Guatemalan judge has ordered a former military dictator, Efran Ros Montt, to appear in court on Thursday, the first step in a process that could lead to his being tried on genocide charges and to a reopening of the darkest chapter in Guatemala’s brutal 36-year civil war. During General Ros Montt’s 17-month rule in 1982 and 1983, the Guatemalan Army pursued a scorched-earth campaign in the Mayan highlands that included massacres that are regarded as among the most horrific in the war. To flush out small bands of leftist guerrillas, soldiers entered Indian villages and hunted down their inhabitants, slaughtering men, women and children indiscriminately. Read MoreRonald Reagan supported Rios Montt. After his election, Reagan pushed aggressively to overturn an arms embargo imposed on Guatemala by President Carter because of the military's wretched human rights record. The president's chief concern about the recurring reports of human rights atrocities was to attack and discredit the information.Sometimes personally and sometimes through surrogates, Reagan denigrated the human rights investigators and journalists who disclosed the slaughters.Reagan personally picked up this theme of a falsely accused Guatemalan military. During a swing through Latin America, Reagan discounted the mounting reports of hundreds of Mayan villages being eradicated. But the newly declassified U.S. government records reveal that Reagan's praise -- and the embassy analysis -- flew in the face of corroborated accounts from U.S. intelligence.Based on its own internal documents, the Reagan administration knew that the Guatemalan military indeed was engaged in a scorched-earth campaign against the Mayans.Apparently confident of Reagan’s sympathies, the Guatemalan government continued its political repression without apology.LinkIn 1982, an Amnesty International report estimated that over 10,000 indigenous Guatemalans and peasant farmers were killed from March to July of that year, and that 100,000 rural villagers were forced to flee their homes. According to more recent estimates, tens of thousands of non-combatants were killed by the regime's death squads in the subsequent eighteen months. At the height of the bloodshed under Ros Montt, reports put the number of killings and disappearances at more than 3,000 per month. Based on the number of people killed per capita, Ros Montt was probably the most violent dictator in Latin America's recent history, more so than even other notorious dictators such as Chile's Augusto Pinochet, Argentina's Jorge Rafael Videla, and Bolivia's Hugo Banzer.Link"President Ros Montt is a man of great personal integrity and commitment. ... I know he wants to improve the quality of life for all Guatemalans and to promote social justice."Ronald Reagan....December 4th, 1982I'm sure RichClem supported Montt also.

That's your problem Puss. You're blind to the facts.Lies the Democrat Operative liar who denies Obama's leftist, Alinsky-ite past and philosophy. Was the liberal New Republic spreading, snicker, "Republican talking points" when it reported at great length Obama's many years learning, spreading and supporting Alinsky's tactics? The Agitatorhttp://www.tnr.com/a...le/the-agitatorOh I know, you'll put me on ignore again for having the, snicker, AUDACITY to point out the undeniable facts. You mean like you disappeared for months after Obama was electedI put my money where my mouth is. I knew what an utter disaster he'd be, and I worked seven days a week for roughly two years to put extra money away.Speaking of, how's that roaring Obama Economy going with its 12% real unemployment rate? Leave it to Jon Stewart.......A genuinely angry seeming Jon Stewart tore into Mitt Romney last night for all the various rich-guy ways he got his tax rate down to 13.9 percent. While Romney gets to say that how much he owes the government is out of his hands, Stewart dug up 2007 footage of how Bain Capital lobbied hard to keep the tax on certain investments at 15 percent with Romney, once heading Bain Capital, backing that rate the same year. That lobbying effort clearly succeeded and Mitt kept his low tax bill, leading Stewart to conclude: "Poor people have sh-tty lobbyists."Watch Video Here

Say, are you going to admit you lied when you denied that Obama is a Radical Left follower and practictioner of Alinsky-ite tactics? No? Never thought you would.Ronald Reagan supported Rios Montt.Gosh, Reagan had to choose between the lesser of two evils during the Cold War? Had to make tough moral decisions? How awful!Even worse, Reagan won the Cold War. You moonbats will never forgive him for that.I'm sure RichClem supported Montt also.I'm sure you'll tell your usual dishonest smears of conservatives. As you tell lies on behalf of rapists/ serial felons/ sociopathic liars like Clinton. A Republican state senator in Oklahoma has introduced a bill banning aborted human fetuses in food, despite the fact that there are no known foods or food products that actually contain aborted fetuses.Sen. Ralph Shortey of Oklahoma City introduced on Tuesday Senate Bill 1418, which prohibits "the sale or manufacture of food or products which contain aborted human fetuses." LINK
